Teak Outdoor TEAK Teak is a close grained hardwood with high natural oil content. It is highly resistant to rotting and almost impervious to the effects of sun, rain, frost or snow. These characteristics make it the ideal timber for all outdoor applications. Many other hardwoods are used for outdoor furniture and some are even marketed as teak substitutes, however, there is no substitute for teak and no other hardwood will perform to the same standard as teak in outdoor conditions. Only premium grade plantation grown teak is used in Bali Republic furni-ture. The features of premium grade teak are consistent grain structure, the absence of knots, splits or cracks. All teak furniture comes in natural smooth finish and brushed finish. MAINTENANCE Teak does not require any special maintenance routine.left outside, the exposed surfaces of the furniture will become a soft silvery grey in color. Besides, weather will cause some surface erosion leading to slight surface roughness, possible mildew and checking. Checking is a natural process that occurs when teak develops small cracks in the end grain. However, this does not affect the durability of teak furniture BATYLINE Batyline is made by a French company, Ferrari, and is widely used in premium outdoor furniture. Batyline is an extremely durable and high quality material consisting of a polyester fber covered by a coating of PVC, making it nearly impossible to tear. It is 100% synthetic and resistant to rot and mildew. It is highly resistant to UV radiation and fading. It can withstand temperature extremes, ranging from -30C to 70C. MAINTENANCE The fact that there is no moisture absorption results in quick-drying action, little sensitivity to staining, and simplicity in cleaning. Batyline fabrics can be cleaned by just the wipe of a sponge with soapy water. Scouring agents and solvents are to be strictly avoided! Batyline fabrics dry very quickly because of their open structure. They allow you to take advantage of the shortest sunny period and stay cool even in full sunshine. MAINTENANCE Being a synthetic material, our all weather wicker outdoor furnitures requires almost no maintenance. If a piece gets dirty, it can simply be hosed off with water.
