15 OOD ELF PECL RULE ll units in a ood Elf army (except fliers) ignore the movement penalties for moving through woods. ll wood Elf non-magical arrows are armour piercing at short range ( or less) ood Elves never suffer the normal - to hit penalty when shooting at long range. ood Elf rchmages may use any lore of magic from the arhammer rulebook and get a + bonus to the total rolled when casting spells from the Lore of Beasts or the Lore of Life. ll ood Elf izards know one extra spell in addition to their normal spells. his spell has a casting value of + and can be cast on any wood within of the caster, provided that there are no enemy models inside it. t can be cast on woods containing ood Elf units, but the entire unit must be inside the wood. f one or more of the units models are outside the ood, the spell cannot be cast on it. f cast successfully, the wood can be moved D+ in a direction nominated by the caster before rolling. he wood ust stop as soon as it comes into contact with any other piece of terrain. Friendly troops which are entirely inside the woods move together with the wood, but must end there movement away from any enemy models. roops that move with the wood count as having moved for the next movement phase. Each wood can only be moved once per agic phase.

16 ood Elves almost invariably fight defensive battles against invaders of their hidden realms. here armies very rarely venture out of there sylvan realm. he following rules represent this: n Pitched Battles just after the roll for table side, the ood Elf player may place one extra wood anywhere in his half of the table (covering the maximum area of a circle with radius). hey also get + on all rolls made during deployment: to chose table side, to decide who starts deploying first, and who goes first (in addition to all other modifiers). hey also have a + on the roll to determine in which order scouting units are deployed. o counterbalance this, the enemy gets Victory points for each of his units with a Unit trength of or more that ends the game completely inside the ood Elves deployment zone (fleeing units do not count). he enemy also gets an extra Victory points (on top of the normal ) for each table quarter containing the ood Elf deployment zone he controls at the end of the game.
