If the pressure is insufficient, the sensitivity might be lowered, or triggering might not occur for a strong strike. To prevent unwanted triggering due to the sound pressure level of a snare drum, connect the RT30K to SN or AUX 1/2, and set the B tone to No Sound. Adjust so that 2 3 mm (0.1 inch) of the sensor s tip is in firm contact. Set to RT. Choose Snare/Tom/Kick as appropriate for the instrument to which the drum trigger is attached. If you re using a mesh head, choose Mesh or Mesh Kick. If you re using an acoustic drum head, we recommend that you also use a mute. If double triggering occurs frequently, increase the Retrigger Cancel value; if the second note of a flam does not sound, decrease the value. To set up trigger configuration for your kit, all you have to do is loading the file to your ad5. For details, refer to the ATV website. For details on settings after you ve connected the pads, refer to Quick Start Guide and Reference Guide. To connect pads to the AUX 1 or AUX 2 trigger inputs, use the cable included with each pad. Touching an unused plug of the multitrigger cable to metallic things can cause unintended triggering. Protect unused plugs with adhesive tape to avoid this.
