4 Auctioneers of Distinction Welcome to Auction 83 Welcome to our first Auction for 2012, which we are pleased offers a great well balanced assortment of items, catering for all tastes, whether you are a collector, investor, Ebay or market trader. In the past you have asked could we include more Gold & Silver bullion items, so between the new section Gold & Silver & the Perth Mint section, there is a generous amount of all types of Silver & Gold items, from coins to bars. Included in this auction is a collection of lovely watches received from one of our dear old clients, who has put the collection together, with much pride over many years. There is a great range from standard railway issue to repeaters, together with early made watches. Some are outstanding items & they are lotted with a big array of estate & modern jewellery. Serveral are stunning pieces. Those clients looking to put away some rarities for investment, there is a lovely Kookuburra Penny, as well as some nice rare Specimen Notes. Also a lovely lot of choice Australian coins together with some great runs in Banknotes & nice condition early notes & rare notes. Finally there are some very nice sovereigns across all grades with plenty of dates to choose from. th Viewing for this auction will be on SATURDAY 11 February 9.30am pm (prior to the start of the auction) Please feel free to ask our friendly staff who will be on hand to assist you as usual.. The auction will start at 1.00pm sharp. For interstate and country clients, there is additional viewing of some lots by appointment, with prior arrangement. Estimates are only a guide. Some items have been estimated low, others at previous recent sale prices, however it is in your interest to do some research or bid accordingly, depending how popular the item is or how much you want the item. Anything rare or of quality will usually always attract keen bidding. Postal bidders please remember estimates are often very conservative and a good rare or popular quality item will often exceed estimates, For any postal bidders requiring more information or you would like us to check a particular lot more closely for you, for any reason or have images sent, please feel to do so and we will do our best but we cannot photograph or scan boxes full of items or massive lots. Please however note that this will need to be done early and it is appreciated if bids are sent in early. Remember viewing is always busy so please allow sufficient time, especially on popular or bulk items. Our Auction House is proud to be one which doesn't start at your highest bid. If you place a high bid we try to buy at the best price for you unless there are two bids the same or keen room bidding. We will accept phone bidding on higher priced quality items however please phone and talk to us prior to the auction to make arrangements and we will personally look after your bids. 6 Conditions Of Sale Estimates Estimates included in this catalogue are intended as a guide only. Lots may sell higher or lower. For most regular items the estimate is based on the current market value. However, for rare, unique and unusual items and bulk lots, the estimate serves only as an educated guess and require higher bids. Bids of less than 80% of estimate will not be accepted. Viewing Times All lots are available for viewing at THE Hotel Grand Chancellor - 23 Leichhardt St (Cnr Wickham Tce) Brisbane VIEWING : Please Note: Photo ID Required for Entry Collection and Payment Lots Must be collected on the day. (unless Postal Bid) No lots are to be collected until payment has been made. Payment may be made by bank cheque, personal cheques are ACCEPTED although there will be limits unless known to us. Cheques for large amounts will need to be cleared. Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard are accepted, however a fee of 3% will be added to your invoice. Postal bidders will be invoiced and payment will be required immediately thank you. ( Penalties and a fee will apply for any late payments.) Room bidders must pay for and collect lots on day of auction. (A late service fee of will apply to bidders who have not collected in this time.) Lots stated to contain collections and or undescribed items must be taken with all faults and errors (if any) and by reason of the foregoing the purchaser of any such lot shall have no right to reject same. Any discrepancy to be advised immediately. Ownership of Goods Ownership of lots shall not pass until payment in full of the purchase price, in the case of personal cheques accepted by the auctioneer, until clearance of same. The Purchaser The highest bidder shall be the purchaser. The auctioneer shall be the sole judge of who was the highest bidder. All lots are put up for sale subject to any reserve price that may be imposed by the seller. The seller shall be entitled to bid personally or through any other person (who may be the auctioneer) and to withdraw any lot or lots either personally or through the auctioneer. Buyers must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of their purchases at the time of delivery. The auctioneer cannot be held responsible for any discrepancy which might be discovered after the lots have been removed from the premises. In the event of any dispute between bidders for a lot, the auctioneer shall have absolute discretion to settle the dispute or (whether or not the lot has been knocked down as sold) to resubmit to lot for sale by auction at the sale in progress or as soon as practicable thereafter. Any lots that have been viewed are non-returnable.
