2 Welcome to Pepperdines Pepperdines is a state-of-the-art, familyowned business located in Denver, Colorado. Our company has seen many changes over its 40-plus years. From its beginnings as a rubber stamp manufacturer, Pepperdines evolved to include marking products and signage for both individual and commercial clients. The ever-expanding customer base created the opportunity to add printing to the services offered, followed in 1997 by the manufacture of flexographic polymer plates used by the corrugated industry to print boxes. Diane Drew, our President/CEO, came on board in At that time the business, owned by Diane s parents, was in a southeast Denver strip mall. After several moves to accommodate our continuing growth, Pepperdines found its current home, a 32,000 square foot building just south of downtown Denver. The company passed from generation to generation, and in July of 2010, Diane became the sole owner of Pepperdines. She applied for WBENC (Women s Business Enterprise National Council) status and was approved in February of 2011 as an official womanowned business. Rocker Stamp This style is best for extra large stamps and those used on a surface that may not be flat. A rocking motion will give a more even, uniform impression. 14 New Colorado Notary Laws...Made Easy! What you should know about the August 2012 changes from the Secretary of State. The State of Colorado has changed the laws for notary stamps, effective August 8, Embossers are no longer legal for Colorado Notaries. The stamps are five lines of type, in the order shown below and contained within a rectangular border. The size of the stamp can vary. The color of the stamp can vary, but purple, black and blue are the most common colors. The MY COMMISSION EXPIRES date can be expressed with the month spelled out, or numerically (e.g., 12/25/2012). There is no strict requirement for the date format; however, the date MUST be on the stamp. A blank line is no longer acceptable. A period will appear after the middle initial (ELIZABETH A. JONES) unless requested otherwise. Pepperdines will provide the stamps as shown below, although bold type is not mandatory. Please note: The new format for notary stamps is not required until the notary s current commission expires.
