UP AND COMING AI TECHNOLOGY 2 Introduction As our technology advances through our current thriving times, we must recognize specific inventions that are making their way to the top priorities for our new technological advancements. However, one system that looks quite promising is the works of the idea AI or Artificial Intelligence. This system named AI is starting to catch many eyes, and the reasons are countless, but one key reason could be solely from the name itself. The word artificial in AI gives a new thought to think that this could potentially mean the use of robots or a system that is capable of making human interactions and based decisions on its own. Fortunately, this idea holds true, and that premise could bring us more efficient ways to get a mass of objectives done that we simply don t have time for in our busy day to day lives. Anymore additions from AI s to our technologically ran systems does not mean entirely new programs need to be implemented, but rather just additions included as in plug-ins or also attachments that give extra abilities to a system. These attachments or add-ons could give us insight to more data manipulation than we ever have imagined, such as cloud storage, security threat detection and management, and also the assistance from more updated intelligences like Siri. To summarize this new yet ground breaking project that has been already experimented with, as it gives us a tease, it will undoubtedly carry us to new technological heights throughout the business world, the social networking world, and as well as many other global systems. Background AI is simply a method of giving machines a better or completely new protocol to make things more efficient and to calculate things precisely with ease. Elaine Rich puts that together swiftly by stating I see artificial intelligence as a way to increase productivity, which is the bottom line to our success in business. (Pope & Rich, pg 40). The history as shown for
UP AND COMING AI TECHNOLOGY 3 AI s was even put into a drawing board stage as shown in 1989, and it was luckily recognized. For example, one of its purposes at the time was stated as that the computer is able to tell what s going to happen to a drug once it inside a body (Pope & Anerousis, pg.40). A solid definition given from Pope gives us a better understanding of how an AI would work as follows, Programming the information into artificial-intelligence machines, experts say, is a tedious, time-consuming chore that involves moving information from the brain of a human expert into the memory of the computer. (Pope, pg.11). With that statement we can translate that AI s are only able to thrive off and compute the certain protocols that s are given to them. But once given this information, there is a point where it can advance through the protocol in a better manner much like it s on a hinge (Pope,1989. pg. 16). AI s can also be grouped through categories like these: Expert AI, Autonomous robots, Cognitive prostheses, AI theory and algorithms, Turing Test AI. (Tseng & Ting & David, pg. 463). All of these fields of the AI s capacity undoubtedly gives us many options across the board for the need of the logical machines we so desire. Algorithms that stump us today may be as wished, completed or created in the blink of an eye solely from an AI s intense logical processing. Ethics When we look at our status with our government, one should be asking how we can make the gov t improve itself more than its current status? Well the answer to that should be AI s, according to a report from publications straight from the Federal Government Documents and Publications publisher. Supposedly the federal administration is working to leverage AI as an emergent technology for public good and toward a more effective government, (Lyons, section 5). and this sounds like a step in the right direction which is what we all want to hear from our own governments. Lyons specifies what kind of benefits we should be expecting with
UP AND COMING AI TECHNOLOGY 4 improvisations in health, urban systems, social welfare, criminal justice, and even the environment (Lyons, section 5). Another promising helping hand from an AI could be to help the disadvantaged populations as well as population with disabilities programs driven by the AI itself (Lyons, section 5). A company called Computer Associates Inc. that has been experimenting with an AI had some positive results and stated its Al tools are distinctly different than anything that has been offered in the past, because they use neural network technology. (Martin, pg. 4). This strategy most definitely sounds like the blueprint work of the artificial intelligence, moreover giving workers no real burden to carry out work problems. They even said that with their AI they could utilize it find potentially problematic print jobs before they arrive at the printers networking (Martin, pg. 28). This is much like an example of an anti-virus program (Martin, pg. 23). Moreover, the program attempts to filter out what is good or bad or true or false, and then warns you ahead of time to give you time before you end up clicking on something you could later on regret. A Neural Network AI is what Computer Associates Inc. uses and it is utilized to help the management system to predict events in the network, much like the printer software as well as the anti-virus software. One should be able to tell by now, the numbers of opportunities that AI s could be creating for us at anytime and anywhere. Security When AI s are used for business and client operations, they need to be trusted practically 100 percent of the time; Especially when dealing with sensitive information like account information, transferring of bank information, and of course vital private sales talk to customers of the businesses choice. This following journal has an excerpt that describes this to a convincing point,
UP AND COMING AI TECHNOLOGY 5 that states Using customer account information, demographic data, and equipment inventory from multiple databases, the system makes intelligent sales recommendations. (Wade, pg. 47). Here one should be able to tell that the trust and experimenting process had to be achieved before any of this high-speed global information sending was going to occur. (Wade, pg. 47). Therefore, now once they did that, they were able to use it for the entirety of their sales database and one can imagine that is a lot to put on the line for these expert machines otherwise known as the AI. The following claim is stated in that it is vitally important in most businesses to incorporate AI s to hold a systems security together; Network intrusion is one of the most important information security problems that occur due to the absence of AI solutions. (Aljindi, Pg. 3). This was furthered by stating that integrating a continuous amount of increase of information security should be in affect due to the AI s ability to make no mistakes because of the meaningful computational model sets it makes to find what problems can be avoided in a step by step process every time. (Aljindi, Pg. 3). Legality It is reasonable for one to question the legality of the AI s due to their witty processing times and sometimes, eventually outsmarting the humans who created them themselves. However, this outcome is not negative in aspects, because in many situations the AI s actually boost the human s knowledge about what the AI s computing by itself, therefore giving the people new possibilities to figure out specific solutions coming directly from the AI (Wade, pg. 47). There was a scenario in a workplace that became a uplifting outcome for AI s as follows, One networking troubleshoot expert had been on call and getting called 24 hours a day, seven days a week for six months. Since the installation of a knowledge-based desk last year, she s been promoted to a new position, where she s making even more valuable contributions to
UP AND COMING AI TECHNOLOGY 6 the company. AI (Wade, pg. 47). The path to answers is interesting. The legal researchers construct various answer elements, which include various phrases, sentences and paragraphs. The machine learning evaluates the user's facts using the ingested case law to identify the substantively correct classification and the system's confidence (Friedmann, 2016 pg. 2). The system returns a confidence level for the answer and explains in several nicely written paragraphs how and why the system reached its proposed classification. It also displays the five most relevant cases. Users can click through to see the full-text of those cases and/or view additional relevant cases. (Friedmann, 2016 pg. 2). The user interface is simple and answers read like they are written by a lawyer. The simple UI and fast answers belies a lot of data science and legal research that underlies the system. (Friedmann, 2016 pg. 2). All of these examples are ways that we as people can find ways for the AI s to work legally in our systems today throughout economics, social, and physiological interactions. Conclusion In conclusion, we find that there are many ways that AI can or has from the past and into the future benefited our systems globally. More and more every day we are making huge technological steps in our changing would, and this projects success in reality throughout our inventor based occupations. Bringing out AI in the real world presents opportunities that we may have not discovered yet technologically. All of our chronological events leading up to present are shaping our world into fast speeds it needs to run on, and with this we should notice how vital AI s and accompanied machines, help become the backbone of our systems protocols. When looking at our most prominent human errors, one should give an openminded chance for AI s to lead for example and have more offers for opportunities for us to unfold, than ever
UP AND COMING AI TECHNOLOGY 7 before. Furthering this it s clear to see the giant steps we have taken technologically so far; Moreover, the exciting new discoveries we are unfolding along the way to an AI paradise.
