12 The PCM1- Digital Bug Detector provides defense of bugging opera4ons through discovering of "mini - transmi8ers (bug) as well as wire- connected bugging device. The device consists of two head components, a High End Scanning Receiver and an extremely fast tax computer (laptop). Each of these components is accommodated portable in a standard prac4ce suitcase and/or a laptop pocket. A further suitcase includes the antennas, probes and further accessories. To the connec4on of these units, two connec4on cables are required.

13 Each unit can be charged by either rechargeable ba8ery or a network component. SoGware updates are offered regularly, which can be installed by the end user very simply (no computer knowledge required). The Scanning Receiver consists of an ultra- modern recep4on unit (spectrum Analyzer 1 MHz un4l 7000 MHz), an Audio processor (Audio reproduc4on, Audio sonar), an A/D- D/A- converter, an extremely fast parallel port interface, a rechargeable ba8ery drawer unit and supervision unit as well as an internal interface to the op4onal expansion.

14 The receiver has 3 high frequencies entrances on which the respec4ve antennas are a8ached. The switch happens fully automa4cally without temporal delay. Two further high frequencies entrances enable the connec4on of an internal as well as an external reference antenna to the automa4c antenna differen4al measurement. One of these entrances serves simultaneously as a connec4on for the field strength near field hand probe. For the adap4on of the recep4on frequency, ultra fast Synthesizer building blocks come to use. The dynamics areas of the HF entrances were realized with un4l + 10 dbm so that strong transmi8ers do not impair from close range.

15 The components of the between- frequency- amplifier are available, which enables the listening of the demodulated signal in simultaneous picture construc4on of the frequency spectrum. The filter bandwidth amounts to 1 MHz, 180 khz and 18 khz whereby for each bandwidth a demo is available. The Audio processor serves for the control of the reproduc4on, to process seeking tones, to the genera4on of the posi4on sonar, to the increase of sonar hand probe as well as to the processing of the external and/or the internal reference microphone.

16 The volume of the demodulated signal can be alterna4vely changed by means of trick regulator or sogware driven result. The A/D- D/A- converter consists of very fast more canal building blocks, that have the task of receiving analogous signals such as field strength, correla4on, rechargeable ba8ery drawer tension etc. and into digital values to transform so that these are process able for the computer. The parallel port interface is the interface between scanning teciever and computer. All data to control and data capture are transacted hereon.

17 In the development of this interface, special value was put on slight own radia4on and high transmission speed. This device uses ba8eries which are easily interchangeable and of standard prac4ce. They are loaded by special electronics and are permanently supervised. If the device is operated over the network- /charger at the network, the rechargeable ba8eries are loaded parallel in addi4on. The Scanning Receiver is constructed internally so that op4onal hardware components can be added.
