5 D.T.MUX Acquisition system The data acquisition system version of the D.T MUX is equipped with mirroring system recorder disc and tape (DLT VS80 or AIT3 or SAIT). It can receive analogical, digital or video inputs, as well, as serial (RS232 ETHERNET) or parallel inputs. These inputs can be multiplexed and configured to satisfy your needs exactly. The boards offering these different inputs are exchangeable by the user. 19 Annex Channels settings Boards settings: Choose the channels to record Choose one or more, frequency sample. Choose inputs and outputs ranges Choose trigger parameters (depending on acquisition boards): edge(s), pre-trigger- and post-trigger duration, threshold (s), trigger channel, Choose personalized parameters: sensor voltage, ICP module, cut-off frequency of lowpass filters, Choose archival media: Windows disk, flashdisk, tape drive For high speed recording, only hard disk is used For recording on hard disk drive, choose the mode among 3 modes: FIFO mode: this mode is useful for high speed recording. Data are continuously written on the disk drive: software manages a FAT (Records allocation table). First record recovers all capacity of the disk, and following records are segment of locked data all over the disk. Standard mode: Write into a Windows file in the selected directory Automatic Multi-disks mode: Write into a Windows file, named by date, in a disk partition, depending on the day. The files of the current partition old more than 7 days, are deleted. Real-time display settings The user selects the displayable channel during acquisition (4 channels maximum per graph). It is possible to draw 1, 2, 3,4,6 or 8 graphs on the screen, each one of these graphs being able to display up to 4 signal channels. 21 For playback, additional tools are at the disposal of the user: User chooses a record to play and a play mode: - Default mode: play at the beginning of the record, and pause or stop elsewhere. - Second mode: choose a start location - Third mode: choose a start and an end location, and only play this segment - Fourth mode: LOOP MODE, automatic replay of the selected segment. A position can be: - An event marker on the record - A MB counter - A time D.T.MUX Recorder on network A DTMUX Recorder, equipped with an 1 Giga-bits Ethernet port and the Universal Recorder System Software is considered as a server of data. It can be controlled locally and send its data to other computers. Any system under Unix, Linux, Windows, or MacOS, compatible with the Ethernet TCP protocol( connected socket mode, IP address and port number TCP ), could receive these data. An ordinary PC, equipped with an 1 Giga-bits Ethernet port and the Universelle Recorder System Software, can be a customer of any DTMUX Recorder: - it can be simple applicant of information, to display curves on its screen, without any intervention of this user in the recording : remote screen via the network - or it can be the control unit of many DTMUX recorders: channel settings, access to control commands of the recorders ( Start/ Stop Acquisition ), choice of the DTMUX to be controlled remotely, A DTMUX Recorder, can be simultaneously SERVER and CUSTOMER, this one must control all the other DTMUX connected to the network. The list of the boards of the remote DTMUX Recorder is added to list of local boards detected. The user views a global configuration of all the channels, thanks to the same computer. The individual channels setting are dispatched on the right recorder. All the channels can be configured, selected to be displayed on the real time windows or to be recorded. 18 P a g e
22 Three network modes are available: - Connected mode: all transfers are handshaked, there are many DTMUX data server and only one CUSTOMER that control all DTMUX on network This mode supports only Universal Recorder Software. - Emission mode: all DTMUX recorders can transmit data on network Broadcast and Multi-cast Mode, without any handshakes. Any one on network ( MAC or PC, Linux or Windows ) can receive data with a custom application or with Universal Recorder Software - Reception mode Broadcast and Multicast Mode: the Universal Recorder Software can receive data from other DTMUX recorder. 19 P a g e
