3 PROJECT EXPERIENCE 3.1 NFC using XbeePro-S1 Modem Nestor Lab - Rome, Italy Customer RF & Electronics Industry 5/2013 6/2013 Duration Description: The signal was broadcasted to different Raspberry boards which were connected through Zigbee network and near field communication test was conducted. The nearest and farest device was detected. The detection was done on router Xbee which was programmed serially using different AT commands for maximum and minimum signal strength. This project was a test project for the security testing of NFC in new Smartphone s. Tools: Microsoft Visual Studio (C programming), Linux / Emacs(Shell Scripting). 3.2 Noise Cancellation of Power Amplifier Nestor Lab - Rome, Italy Customer RF & Electronics Industry 3/2013 4/2013 Duration Description: This project was focused on the Power Amplifier (PA) distortion cancellation technique at receiver. The equalizer is designed with Least Square Solution technique for nonlinear systems. The equalizer is meant to cancel nonlinearity affect of power amplifier from the received signal. The equalizer works for five different modulated signals which are commonly used modulated schemes these days. Tools: Matlab, Microsoft Visual Studio, Instruments: Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer Seite: 5 von 9

3.3 Large Antenna Design Onsala Space Observatory, Sweden Customer RF & microwave Industry 07/ /2013 Duration Description: In this project, design of Quad-Ridged Flare Horn Antenna for use in L- to S band was done. QRFH Antenna was designed which will be used as reflector feed for SKA Telescope. This antenna is multi-octave wideband antenna with 4:1 bandwidth. The antenna was designed and optimized for different parameters such as reflection coefficient S11, bandwidth, directivity, 3dB beam width, half subtended angel, E/H and 45 degree plan. Tools: Matlab, CST, HFSS. 3.4 MMIC Low Noise Amplifier Design Terahertz Lab, Sweden Customer RF & microwave Industry 03/ /2012 Duration Description: A complete design of three-stage class A low-noise amplifier(lna) operating in frequency range of GHz using 0.15um metamorphic InGaAs HEMT technology was presented in this project. The circuit is driven by a 1 V supply and the OIP 3dB achieved was 22dBm with a return loss of greater than 8dB, gain of above 26dB and noise figure below than 2.36dB in the whole frequency range. The final layout occupies an area of 4.4x 2 mm 2. Tools: Advanced Design System (ADS) 3.5 Time difference Of Arrival (TDOA) algorithm for IR UWB positioning system RF Industry 11/ /2012 Duration Description: Implementation of Time difference Of Arrival (TDOA) algorithm for IR UWB positioning system using C programming language for STM32F103RB Cortex M3 microcontroller. CAN buss protocol was implemented for data exchange among four reference Anchors. Tools: Linux Shell Scripting, Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys StarXT, Calibre DRV, Hspice, emacs. Seite: 6 von 9

3.6 Real Time Decoder RF Industry 09/ /2011 Duration Description: In this project decryption of password was done which was encoded by the sender in the encrypted format. The sender had sent the encoded password in the voice format that was passed through the channel and after that it was decrypted by the decoder. The project task is to make this real time decoder. In this decoder the voice was first converted from Analog to Digital through A/D converter than it was demodulated and passed through the Low Pass Filter (LPF) and Match Filter (MF). After Match Filter the voice was sampled and then the decision was taken. From the samples the password is extracted and through mapping it was displayed on the screen Tools: Matlab. 3.7 Image & Speech Compression Communication Industry 05/ /2011 Duration Description: In this project the compression of 2D Image with different techniques was done. Encoders for three different compression techniques like HuffMan, Arithmathic and Lempel-Ziv- Welch coding, with a binary source alphabet were designed. For Speech we used different scalar quantization like uniform, Pdf, Companding and Entropy Quantization techniques to quantize the speech. Tools: Visual Studio C Acoustic Communication System Communication Industry 02/ /2011 Duration Description: In this project an acoustic signaling system was designed, transferring text messages between two computers. The project addresses the following problems: Signal encoding / decoding from the bit stream to symbols, Conversion to an analogue coding / decoding technique, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Transmission channel equalization, Modulation / demodulation of the signal to/from a frequency band suited for acoustic transmission, Interpolation/decimation to convert the signal between different sampling rates in the system. Tools: Matlab and 2 PCs connected with Acoustic Channel. Seite: 7 von 9

3.9 Noise Cancellation. Communication Industry 11/ /2010 Duration Description: In this project an adaptive filter algorithm was designed using least mean squares error algorithm (LMS). The particular application which we are targeting is noise cancellation. Noise cancellation means that given a measured signal which is contaminated with a disturbance signal and a separate measurement of the source of the disturbance we try to find a filter which can reduce the disturbance from the desired signal. So called active noise canceling headsets are today available on the market. These products use adaptive filtering techniques similar to the LMS technique. The LMS filter provides both the filtering and adaptation. Tools: C Language & DSP card (Texas Instrument C6711DSK with a TI PCM3003 Audio daughter card) 3.10 Transmission over Band limited Channels. Communication Industry 09/ /2010 Duration Description: In this project an equalizers was developed for channel equalization techniques and aim at handling the inter symbol interference in linearly modulated signal that are passed through a dispersive channel. In this project we had improved the link performance based on the output of Linch function by reducing the ISI effects. Linch, which is essentially a function of composite channel modeled by MATLAB, has an effect of Additive White Gaussian Noise and characteristics of time dispersive. Our project is actually based on a PAM system with fixed parameters (sampling frequency, symbol rate, etc). Symbols are transmitted in forms of +1, -1 equally, and our target is to minimize BER under required with the help of reliable equalizer method. Tools: Matlab Flight Reservation System CodeGuru - Freelancer Customer Software Industry 12/ /2008 Duration Seite: 8 von 9

Description: An analysis model for such a reservation system developed composing different functional aspects. This model represents a MFC application to book a series of tickets and it can be applied to a variety of similar situations. We use the airport example to build the database of employees, passengers, tickets, reservations, flight information, departures, arrivals in fact a small ticket reservation portal was made which was afterwards linked to the real time airport ticket reservation system. Tools: Visual Studio C++/MFC 3.12 Radar CFAR Adaptive Thresholding System for Non-Homogeneous Environments National University of Science & Technology, Pakistan Customer Observatory Industry 09/ /2007 Duration Description: In this project the techniques required to estimate the noise power from the run time echo signal samples and predict a real target were implemented. Constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detection is a set of technique and algorithms designed to provide predictable detection and false alarm behavior in realistic interference scenarios. Tools: Matlab and C++ Language Seite: 9 von 9
