2 MacroPATH pro A picture is worth A new innovative tool for macro digital imaging acquisition. With a superior quality camera, improved specifications and built-in LED illuminator, the MacroPATH pro is the ideal solution for high quality photography of gross specimens. The user oriented system enables quick and easy capture, annotation and storage of images for diagnostic support, scientific publications, teaching purposes and research documentation. Users can augment their patient image cases with video and audio capabilities included with the system. The MacroPATH pro camera allows flexibility for installation in all working conditions. Grossing stations, photographic stands, dissection tables, and ventilation hoods are all supported platforms. In addition, our standalone system with its uniquely designed ergonomic stand is a great solution for laboratories with space constraints. A small form factor, fixed objective lens and digital zoom all contribute to ease of installation and use in the most space constrained environments. Quick image capture and minimization of operator interaction both contribute to efficient processing of patient cases. Robust image annotation features provide pathologists the ability to build the full context of the patient case, thereby enhancing their diagnostic report. The MacroPATH lean camera offers several installation options. Grossing stations, current photographic stands or stand- alone systems can be easily configured for use. 4 MacroPATH is simplicity Enter specimen/patient data by keyboard or scan bar code. Program automatically opens. 1D 2D 1 - Start A CASE Capture real size, close up images of excised specimens in rapid sequence. Saved images appear as thumbnails on the right side of the screen. 2 - SAVING IMAGES 6 - REPORTING The ability for MacroPATH to easily capture, annotate, and store high quality images enables the building of enhanced patient reports with additional context for the clinician, surgeon and oncologist. 5 - DOCUMENTING Eliminates potential mismatching of cassettes labeled/number of blocks, sampled tissues. Choose appropriate Sizing tool (linear, area, perimeter) and select area of interest. 7 Stand-alone system MacroPATH is integration In addition to stand-alone operations, MacroPATH can interface with a PACS or LIS through dedicated or TWAIN protocols. Saved locally Saved in a network location Interfacing with LIS (Laboratory Information System) or PACS Use as TWAIN device MacroPATH acts as a secondary application to the LIS. Patient case identifier is held by LIS. 1 LIS launches MacroPATH. 2 User completes image acquisition and annotation. 3 Assets are transferred to the LIS. 4 Additional operations by the user (image manipulation, selection of images for inclusion into patient reports, etc). MacroPATH acts as a secondary application launched via TWAIN protocol. Multiple images are taken and manipulated and then transferred to the primary application (LIS or other program with TWAIN import capability). MileVIEWER: the state-of-the-art digital system for telepathology MileVIEWER MacroPATH can be connected via internet to share all relevant information of the grossing procedures with remotely located pathologists through the new MileVIEWER software package.
