41 Black controls Maximum black ink The maximum black adjustment sets the maximum amount of black ink used at the black point. 41

42 Black controls Black start Sets where black ink can be used when printing images. For printers utilizing light black ink or for images viewed from a greater distance, black start can be set lower. For printers that only use normal black ink, black start can be set higher. 42

43 Black controls Black generation Controls the rate at which color inks are exchanged for black ink in an effort to reduce ink usage, make grays more stable, etc. 43

44 Black controls Black width How far in color space from the gray axis back generation is applied. 44

45 Advanced black controls Ink amounts at black The ink-amount-at-black control sets the targeted ink amounts for the cyan, magenta and yellow inks at the black point of the profile. 45

46 Advanced black controls Black usage at gamut surface Typically setting the control to 1 will produce the maximum color gamut in a region but will introduce black ink at higher lightness colors. 46

54 Processing Input data smoothing Controls the amount of smoothing of the measurement data. 0 = Most accurate but subject to noise 1 = Less accurate and least subject to noise 54

55 Processing Table smoothing The table-smoothing-adjustment controls the amount of smoothing of the output side of the ICC Profile. (L*a*b* > CMYK) Lower values = higher single color accuracy Higher values = potentially smoother gradients 55
