INTRODUCTION With its touch-sensitive color display, the Allure RS-Smart-Sense room sensor allows immediate and easy control of each space comfort parameter (lighting, temperature, sunblinds, and fan speed) while providing instant access to four predefined scenes. The four different scenes are used to instantly recall your favorite settings to create the atmosphere fitting with the desired use of the room. The backlight intensity is automatically regulated by its embedded sensor depending on the room ambient luminosity, which will provide you with an optimal reading comfort. Figure 1: The Allure RS-Smart-Sense Room Sensor Allure RS-Smart-Sense Sensor 5
Introduction Home Screen The Allure RS-Smart-Sense sensor Home screen consists of icons to clearly display information and allow easy access to the different menus and options. All menus are accessed by tapping the corresponding icon on the Allure RS-Smart-Sense sensor screen. 9 MAIN MENUS This section explains the Allure RS-Smart Sense main menus: Fan Speed, Lighting, Sunblinds, and Setpoints. Some of the menu icons shown below might not be available depending on the building manager s preferences. In such a case, contact your building manager for more information. Fan Speed The Fan Speed menu is used to control the fan speed settings. 1. Tap the Fan Speed icon. The Fan Speed menu is displayed: Fan off Fan speed 1 Fan speed 2 Fan speed 3 Fan auto Current fan setting Figure 3: The Fan Speed Menu Screen 2. Set the fan to the desired speed: Off, 1, 2, or 3 or to the automatic setting (Auto) which adjusts the fan speed according to the gap between ambient and desired temperature. 3. Return to the Home Screen. The selected settings are saved until the next modification. Allure RS-Smart-Sense Sensor 9
Main Menus Lighting The Lighting menu is used to control the lights (on/off, dimming) and the available lighting groups (up to 8 groups). 1. Tap the Lighting icon. The Lighting menu is displayed: Lighting groups Light up Light down Scrolling arrow to access the other lighting groups (available lighting groups depend on the building settings) Figure 4: The Lighting Menu Screen 2. Tap the icon(s) of the lighting group(s) that you wish to set. You can select as many groups as you want simultaneously. Selected light groups are shown colored while inactive ones are grayed out. 3. Tap the Light Up/Down arrows to switch the lights on or off. 4. If you are using a dimmer, tap and hold the Light Up/Down arrows to gradually increase/decrease the luminosity. Tap again the Light Up/Down arrows to stop the dimming action when it has reached the desired luminosity; if not, the dimming action will continue until maximum lighting or until completely turned off. 5. After a few seconds, the Home Screen is displayed. The selected settings are saved until the next modification. 10 Allure RS-Smart-Sense Sensor
Sunblinds Main Menus The Sunblinds menu allows you to separately adjust the height of each group of sunblinds (up to 8 groups depending on the configuration) and control the rotation of the sunblind strips. 1. Tap the Sunblind icon. The Sunblind menu is displayed: Scrolling arrow to access the other groups Blinds up Blinds rotation Blinds down Blind groups Figure 5: The Sunblind Menu Screen 2. Tap the icon(s) of the sunblind group(s) that you wish to set. You can select as many groups as you want simultaneously. Selected sunblind groups are shown colored while inactive ones are grayed out. 3. Tap the sunblind Up/Down arrows to bring up or down the selected sunblind. Tap the arrows again to stop the action otherwise it will stop only once the sunblind is completely up or down. 4. Tap the Rotation arrow to rotate the sunblind strips. Holding down the Rotation icon will make the sunblind strips gradually rotate until you release the icon. If you do it again, then the strips will rotate backwards. 5. Return to the Home Screen. The selected settings are saved until the next modification. Allure RS-Smart-Sense Sensor 11
Main Menus Setpoint The Setpoint menu is used to adjust the temperature setpoint. 1. Tap the Setpoint icon. The Setpoint menu is displayed: Setpoint up Setpoint down Current temperature setpoint Figure 6: The Setpoint Menu Screen 2. Tap the Setpoint Up/Down arrows to increase or decrease the current temperature (+/- 6 from the predefined setpoint). 3. Return to the Home Screen. The selected settings are saved until the next modification. The midpoint corresponds to the temperature setpoint defined by the building manager. 12 Allure RS-Smart-Sense Sensor
SCENES The Allure RS-Smart-Sense room sensor can store up to four different scenes that are used to easily recall your favorite comfort parameter settings. It is totally up to you to decide which parameters you want the scene to monitor. Parameters controlled by the scene appear colored while the others are grayed out. A scene can control all of the following comfort parameters. Occupancy Fan speed Lighting Sunblinds Setpoint Scene Configuration Menu 1. To activate the Scene menu, tap the Scene icon that corresponds to the scene of your choice. The following screen temporarily appears to show that the selected Scene has been triggered. Figure 7: The Scene Activation Screen The scene icon might not appear. Nevertheless, you can still enter the scene menu by pressing the icon s usual position. 2. To enter the Scene menu, tap and hold the Scene icon that corresponds to the scene of your choice until the corresponding Scene menu appears. Allure RS-Smart-Sense Sensor 13
Scenes Selected scene Fan status Occupancy status Temperature setpoint status Lighting scene menu Blind scene menu Figure 8: The Scene Menu Screen 3. Refer to the table below to configure each of the comfort parameters as needed: Occupancy To configure the occupancy, tap repeatedly on the Occupancy Status icon to scroll through the different occupancy statuses. Fan Speed To configure the fan speed, tap repeatedly on the Fan Status icon to scroll through the different fan statuses. See Fan Speed menu for more information. Lighting The Lighting Icon allows you to enable or disable lighting control. Use the scroll arrow to access the other lighting groups if necessary (up to 8). The available lighting groups depend on the building settings. You can then set each group of light to OFF (0%), ON (100%) or not controlled (Grayed out) by tapping the matching Lighting Group icon. Lighting pictogram Lighting group 1 Lighting group 2 (off) Lighting group 3 (disabled) 14 Allure RS-Smart-Sense Sensor
Scenes Sunblinds The Sunblind icon allows you to enable or disable sunblind control. Use the scroll arrow to access the other sunblind groups if necessary (up to 8). The available sunblind groups depend on the building settings.
