4 CONSTRUCTION Sew all rights sides together with ¼"seam allowance. Take Fabric A square and (4) 1¾ x 1¾ square from Fabric B. Pair (4) more strips on each side of the square with Fabric C strip. Trim the resulting unit, squaring the block following the outer edges from Fabric C. Place Fabric B square on one corner (right sides facing) aligned to the corner. Stitch at the diagonal, trim at ¼ from the stitch. Repeat for the other corners. DIAGRAM 4 Keep adding layers until you get to diagram below. Take Fabric A square and (1) Fabric C strip. DIAGRAM 1 Take Fabric C strip, and sew at one side of the square. Since you are using the WOF, trim after you sew one side, repeating the same process for all three sides. DIAGRAM 5 Now, take (4) rectangle pieces longer than the edge of fabric from Fabric F. Place one rectangle face to face on the corner left, aligned to the edge of the unit. Stitch at ¼, repeat the same for all three corners. DIAGRAM 2 Measure from the edge long side of the triangle of Fabric C towards the outside and trim at 1¼. Join Fabric B following Fabric C. DIAGRAM 3 Trim the resulting unit, squaring the block following the outer edges from Fabric B. Square your block, trimming to an 11'' x 11''. DIAGRAM 6 DIAGRAM 4 DIAGRAM 7
