3 Introduction As the entire world turns more and more to printing on a diverse range of fabrics, print shops and clothing designers and manufacturers need cutters. Cutters can come in diverse technologies, but at a signage trade show such as the giant APPPEXPO in Shanghai, the cutters for textiles will tend to be flatbed cutters. It is not easy to make a list of flatbed cutters for textiles at a signage expo, since only rarely will a company show their multi-purpose cutters with fabrics on the top. And since more than half the brands have catalogs only in Mandarin, it is not realistic to know precisely how many cutters can handle textile. But, if a company has only catalogs in Chinese language, then they are not selling to distributors or buyers outside Asia. So let s focus on the brands of cutters which are trying to be international. ITMA Asia (ITMA Asia 2016, Shanghai) and ITMA in Europe (ITMA 2015, Milano; ITMA 2019, Barcelona) are textile expos. APPPEXPO (Shanghai, every year), is signage. The FLAAR Reports team attends all of these expos precisely in order to harvest information of use to R&D teams and competitive intelligence teams of companies who can benefit from the information that we present in our reports. The ITMA Asia 2016 report on flatbed cutters for textiles was titled on CNC routers; but in fact CO2 laser cutter technology was included because CO2 lasers are used by some Chinese flatbed cutter manufacturers to cut fabrics. Digital XY flatbed cutters (Zund in particular) can also cut textiles because Zund comes from a textile cutting background. The brand we know the best for ability to cut textiles is Gerber, but they did not exhibit at APPPEXPO. Jinhao textile sample 1

Skyimage booth NH-0475 Skyimage Auto Laser Machine was exhibited by Nanjing Fei Yue Paper Industrial Co. Ltd, a sublimation paper manufacturer company.

Unikonex booth NH-0504 Unikonex UL-VD-DSLR model was exhibited, it has a CO2 laser type cutting tool, it can cut printed flags, banners, sportswear, and leather; its camera is on the top side.

Their brochure lists RJ1620/1626 Automatic feeding laser engraving & cutting machine for rolls of textiles with CCD device to make contour processing, but this model was not at their booth. Their brochure lists other cutting machine - SF1610E for garment, fabric, cotton, silk, etc. Sinajet Sinajet DG2516 was being used for printing advertisement material, but it can be used for textile and garment, as it uses different cutting tools. 16 Summary There were hundreds of flatbed cutters on exhibit (an entire fog and smoke filled hall, Hall 1). We list only the flatbed cutters which can cut textiles. This is a list of all the 47 companies that were exhibiting CNC cutters and engraving machines. Of these 47 companies, the only one exhibiting flatbed cutters claimed to be also capable of handling textiles are those in our list.
