Special guest: Gregory Fairchild Gregory Fairchild is the E. Thayer Bigelow Associate Professor of Business Administration at the University of Virginia s Darden School of Business. Fairchild serves as an academic director for Darden's Initiative for Business in Society (IBiS). The IBiS incorporates conferences, cases, courses and research to help business leaders anticipate and address the crises inevitably produced when business and society diverge. He teaches strategic management, entrepreneurship and ethics in Darden s MBA and Executive Education programs. He has received a number of awards for teaching excellence at the Darden School.

4 Topic V: Business Angels Special guest: Stephen C. Eastham Steve Eastham served as President and Board member of Finalco Group, Inc, ( ) a technology leasing and financial services company in N. Virginia, from early stage into the largest independent leasing company in the U.S. with over $2 billion in assets financed and 25 operating subsidiaries. He also managed the company's successful IPO to become a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Steve was a founding investor member of the Board of Directors of New Vantage Group, LLC, the largest originator and manager of angel capital investment funds in the Washington, DC area. He has also participated as an investor and on the Board of Directors of a number of public and privately held companies in the technology and financial services area, and has been a frequent speaker on topics including entrepreneurship, financing start up businesses and expanding access to capital for companies with high-growth potential.
