3 First cyber police station of Haryana established in Gurugram Haryana s first cyber police station was inaugurated in Gurugram, to facilitate registration of cyber offence related cases.

4 First cyber police station of Haryana established in Gurugram: CEO of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, V Umashankar along with Sandeep Khirwar, Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, inaugurated the cyber police station at DLF office in Gurugram. The building for the cyber police station has been provided by DLF in Phase 5. The cyberpolice station has sufficient number of trained manpower already.

6 Government announces launch of SUVIDHA under PMBJP Ananthkumar, Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers and Parliamentary Affairs, announced the launch of Suvidha, the 100% Oxobiodegradable Sanitary Pad.

7 Suvidha: The Suvidha napkin is launched under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). They will be available at all Janaushadhi Kendras in India by 28 May 2018 (World Menstrual Hygiene Day). The Suvidha pads will be offered for Rs per pad. They can be availed at more than 3200 Janaushadhi Kendras.

8 This has been introduced to ensure Swachhta, Swasthya and Suvidha for the underprivileged women of India. This initiative has been taken by the Department of Pharmaceuticals. Mansukh Lal Mandaviya, Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Road Transport & Highways, Shipping, said that, a special substance is incorporated in the Suvidha napkin. It makes the napkin biodegradable when it reacts with oxygen after it is used and disposed.

10 Ministry of Power launches National E- Mobility Programme in India R K Singh, Union Minister of State (IC) Power and New & Renewable Energy, launched the National E-Mobility Programme in India.

11 National E-Mobility Programme: The National E-Mobility Programme has been introduced to improve the e-mobility ecosystem that comprises vehicle manufacturers, charging infrastructure companies, fleet operators, service providers, etc. Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) will implement the National E-Mobility Programme.

12 EESL will procure electric vehicles in huge numbers. The electric vehicles will replace the existing petrol and diesel vehicles. EESL had procured 10,000 e-vehicles in Soon it will release a new tender for 10,000 more e-vehicles.india would save more than 5 crore litres of fuel annually through these e-vehicles. This would result in reduction of more than 5.6 lakh tonnes of annual CO2 emission.

13 For an electric car, the per kilometer cost is only 85 paisa. Whereas, it is Rs 6.5 for normal cars. This will help to reduce petroleum imports. R K Singh said that, India aims to develop with the motto Healthier world, healthier country, and the long term goal to leave behind a better world.

19 RBI slaps Rs 40 lakh penalty on SBI for flouting fake note norms RBI (Reserve Bank of India) has imposed a penalty of Rs 40 lakh on SBI (State Bank of India) as SBI failed to comply with RBI s directions on detection and impounding of counterfeit notes.

20 RBI slaps Rs 40 lakh penalty on SBI for flouting fake note norms: RBI has stated that, it detected deficiencies on SBI s part in regulatory compliance with counterfeit note norms. RBI had inspected currency chests of two SBI branches and found that its instructions on detection and impounding of counterfeit notes had been violated. After going through SBI s reply and oral submissions during the personal hearing, RBI confirmed charges of non-compliance with its directions/guidelines and imposed a penalty of Rs 40 lakh on SBI.

26 Prakriti first woman officer in combat role in ITBP: Prakriti is 25 years old. She has a bachelor s degree in electrical engineering. She had cleared the UPSC exam for officers recruitment in CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces) in her first attempt. She is now based in an ITBP unit in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. Soon she will join the Officers Training Academy of ITBP in Dehradun. ITBP has women in combat roles already. But they are present in constable ranks only. Prakriti is the first woman officer in combat role in ITBP.

28 ISSF World Cup Anjum Moudgil Wins Silver Indian shooter Anjum Moudgil clinched a silver medal in the women s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event at the ongoing ISSF World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico. It was Anjum s first World Cup medal. Former junior world champion China s Ruijiao Pei won the Gold Medal in that event.
