2 Budget trouble is we forget that the audio is important, until we are in the edit. 4 SUPER AND HYPER -CARDIOID SHOTGUN DIRECTIONAL HYPER-CARDIOID Directional mics are great for noisy locations Need to be pointed in the right direction There is on-axis and off-axis audio Have bass tip up HYPER-CARDIOID HYPER-CARDIOID Sennheiser 416 Sennheiser ME66 (K6) Rode NTG-2 Needs a shock absorber to protect it from being man-handled

5 WINDY But Protection from the wind Don t confuse direction with distance. They may be directional.but, you still need to get them in close to the sound source.
