2 Fifteen years ago Retro 1951 was inspired by the quality and innovation of a bygone era to introduce its first line of pens. Fashioned after designs reminiscent of the 1950s, the warm familiarity coupled with the durable quality struck a chord with people, and the reception was a success. First discovered by Paul Schützenberger in 1865 it has long been known for its strength, deep gloss, and high transparency. Pen enthusiasts also covet cellulose acetate for its warm and natural feel in the hand. This is because it s derived from organic materials found in nature, most commonly cotton or wood pulp. Since cellulose comes from renewable resources, it is even biodegradable! However, it should be noted that cellulose acetate, when properly cared for, is one of the most durable and long lasting materials ever utilized in the manufacture of fine writing instruments. Double-eight In many eastern cultures, eight is considered the most fortuitous of all numbers. This classic eight-sided design is expertly crafted from the finest materials to provide years of writing pleasure. Choose from the unique body designs, from classic stainless to acrylic and leather floral to a special diamond cut design. Each pencil has an eraser on top and storage in the barrel for extra lead (front load system). The Elite ballpoint and pencil are very handy. With its small size (3 3/8 inch length) it is easy to carry with you in your purse or pocket. The pencil comes with 1.1 mm lead and an extra tube of lead. The Tornado Fountain is great for pen users looking for stylish, trouble free writing.
