1 SHIPing WARZ gameplay book Narrative You work for a package delivering company in outer space. You pickup and deliver to six galaxies: Andromeda/messier 31 (level 1) Cigar/messier 82 (level 2) Pinwheel/ messier 101 (level 3) Sombrero/messier 104 (level 4) Whirlpool/messier 51A (level 5) Tadpole (level 6) There are other package delivering companies that are trying to steal your business and put you out of a job. You must compete against these other companies and pickup and deliver packages to as many to the six galaxy s (and the planets in their galaxy). Some galaxy s have more packages to deliver than others. The further away the galaxy, the more points the packages are worth.
2 Rules There are different rules for the level of difficulty that you wish to play. There is: easy, difficult, challenging Basics of the game 2 to 4 player game, everybody starts at the center players start here point Each player starts with rolling the dice. Closest number to 6 gets to start the game Players roll the dice and whatever number is face up on the dice is the amount of spaces that they can move Players must move the full spaces of the amount rolled on the dice with no backtracking (not allowed to go on spaces you already moved on for the turn) Points/packages are collected based on what the square is that you land on last or are pushed into Circular tokens are how you keep track of points/packages Points/packages are placed on the board times that have numerical value on them Points/packages are color coded and change for each galaxy Values
3 Green points/packages are worth 1p and are placed on level 1 (Andromeda) on the board Yellow points/packages are worth 2p and are placed on level 2 (cigar) on the board Red points/packages are worth 3p and are placed on level 3 (Pinwheel) on the board Blue points/packages are worth 4p and are placed on level 4 (Sombrero) on the board Purple points/packages are worth 5p and are placed on level 5 ( Whirlpool) on the board Orange points/packages are worth 6p and are placed on level 6 (Tadpole) on the board After you land on a spot where there are points/packages, collect the circular token. This way, that square s points/packages can only be claimed once. Once points/packages are collected, you want to return to the start point/delivery zone as soon as you can (this represents picking up and delivering packages). If you can make it back to the start point/ delivery zone without interacting with the astroid boxes then you can keep your points (bank) for successfully delivering those packages. If you are bumped into an asteroid box by another player while carrying packages, they get to collect half of the points/packages (that are not banked) that you are trying to take back to the delivery zone
4 If all of you are bumped and have all of your packages banked, you only loose 1 point and the person pushing you gets that point Types of moves Astroid box If a player touches, gets pushed into or goes through a astroid box they loose points (*loose half of your points that are not banked or loose1 point if all of your points are banked*) and skip a turn Once you go though an astroid box, continue going your allotted amount of spaces from starting point (example: you roll a 6, you go through an astroid box on move 4; loose points* move 2 more spaces and skip a turn on the next round). Push You can push players around Players are moved in the direction that you are currently moving If you are pushed into an astroid box then you loose points and the player that pushed you into an astroid gains them and you loose a turn
5 If you are trying to get back to the delivery zone and are carrying packages, you have to give up half of your points that are not banked. Whoever bumped into an astroid gets half of your unbanked points If you are currently not carrying any packages and are pushed into an asteroid box, the player pushed loses a point/package and the person who pushes them into an astroid box gains a point/ package Diagonal Every player can move diagonal but no backtracking Banking points Banking points consists of pickup of P s and brining them back to the delivery zone which is labeled players start here delivery zone Once you bank points, if you are pushed into an astroid, you only have to give up 1 point instead of half of your points Levels Easy Follows basic rules and types of moves listed above
6 Challenging Follows basic rules listed above in addition to: If you get pushed into an astroid then you have to go back to start You have to clear out each level before continuing to the next level Collect all of the packages in the Andromeda galaxy (level 1) before you can pickup packages in Cigar (level 2) Collect all of the packages in the Cigar galaxy (level 2) before you can pickup packages in Pinwheel (level 3) Collect all of the packages in the Pinwheel galaxy (level 3) before you can pickup packages in the Sombrero galaxy (level 4) Collect all of the packages in the Sombrero galaxy (level 4) before you can pickup packages in the Whirlpool galaxy (level 5) Collect all of the packages in the Whirlpool galaxy (level 5) before you can pickup packages in the tadpole galaxy (level 6)
7 Hardcore Follows basic rules listed above in addition to: If you get pushed into an astroid then you have to go back to start Clear out each level before continuing to the next level After accumulating 3p, you have to bank it before continuing to the next level Components Territory control Dice Risk and balancing reward Long term strategy Exponential gain/loss
8 Explain what certain elements mean These are planets where you will pickup P (packages/points) from These are asteroids. You want to avoid being pushed into these or you will loose points The starry boundary is also used as the same way as an astroid but it separates where you can and can t go during the game. Think of it as a barricade.
