8 Noted 72 birds and 50 nesting birds The main colony of Barnacle Goose At first time nesting proved: Teal, Velvet scoter, Common scoter, Great skua, Kittiwake First time registered - Ross's Goose and Number increase: Barnacle Goose, Bewick s Swan Number reduction Lesser Whitefront, Brent Goose, Eider

9 Ringing program of whitefronted goose: 2006 year - 56 neckbanded 2007 year neckbanded Satellite-tracking by our German colleagues : 2006 year - 7 birds 2007 year - 14 birds

11 We found tendencies of waterfowl birds number changes, peculiarities of their nesting areas distribution on the island, changes in local flyways during last ten years. 14 Researches on the Kolguev island The main plans of next year work are: Estimation of goose population changes under the climate changes and human activities Generalization of collected data in joint paper To continue the work in co-operation with German and Dutch colleagues in joint project

15 Integrated Habitat Management Programme for Migratory Anser-Geese in the Upper Volga Region Project goal: To develop a Master Plan for sustainable conservation and management of marshes and floodplain areas as protected spring staging areas for geese and endangered migratory bird species as well as to develop a long-term survey program on geese migration routes between Europe and the Centre of European Russia Belomoro-Baltic Moscow Central-Europian Southern Main aims: Report of on existing ring recoveries Management plans for 4 major geese staging areas Report of a migratory geese flyway survey Training programs BBI-MATRA project Alterra Wageningen UR and the Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution RAS (IEE)
