1 2014 PATIO HIGHLIGHTS This is an internal memo, and all prices are generalities not necessarily current prices. UNIFLAME The line-up for Uniflame is extensive this year so here we go.. We will stock two patio heaters this year in a table top version and a commercial grade version. The Table top version features 11,000 BTU s and will heat up to a 10 circle and will retail for $199. The Commercial grade version will feature 40,000 BTU s and heat up to a 20 circle. This large scale heater will retail for $599. This year we experienced an up-turn in the requests we had for wood burning fire pits as well as the propane. We have added three additional styles of wood burning fire pits to the line to fill those requests. The first one is a 24 Lattice design fire pit that is in an oil rubbed bronze finish and comes with a spark arrestor. This wood burning fire pit will be our opening price point at $219. The second wood burning pit is the Stars & Moon which also is shown in an oil rubbed bronze finish, and comes with a spark arrestor and a stainless steel grate that can be used for cooking hot dogs or hamburgers. This fire pit will also retail for $219. The third wood burning is the Slate Tile which is made of black steel and faux wood and comes with a spark arrestor and an insert cover that fits over the fire bowl. This fire pit will retail for $299. The propane fire pits continue to be hot sellers for us so we have increased our selection and deepened our stock levels. The first pit is the Outdoor Fireplace. This is a small square 28 high decorative item that features a slate finish and faux stone construction. This fire pit uses a small one pound propane tank that fits nicely inside the unit. These fire pits are more of an accent item that would look great along the edge of a pool or high-lighting the entrance to a patio. This little fire pit will retail for $199 and is our opening price point propane fire pit. The second fire pit is the Wicker Side. This smaller scale 32 wide pit features a tile top, faux wicker sides, multi-spark electronic ignition and lava rocks. This pit will retail for $399. The third pit is the Slate Tile Mantel. This fire pit offers a steel bowl, coffee-table size tile mantel with metal sides, multi-spark ignition with a hidden control panel and black glass beads for the fire bowl. This fire pit will retail for $499. The fourth pit is the Slate Tile fire pit. This fire pit features a large coffee table sized slate and marble tile top with metal grate sides. It also features a multi-spark electronic ignition with hidden control panel, protective cover, lava rocker and ceramic logs for the look of a wood burning fire pit. This unit will retail for $799. The final fire pit is the Hexagon Slate Tile. This fire pit is an extra-large size that features a hexagon shape with a slate tile mantel and wicker weave metal grated sides. This fire pit comes standard with electronic ignition and a hidden control panel. Black glass beads are included for the fire bowl. This will retail for $1,099. BREEZESTA This year Breezesta ended up being a surprise to both Jeanne and myself. I initially felt that we sold very little Breezesta last season and concluded that we should consider dropping this vendor. I broke my #1 rule of never make a financial or business

2 related decision based on an emotion. Always check the facts first!! Surprisingly enough the sales for Breezesta were actually very good! Our special order business was more than Meadowcraft or Homecrest and the Skyline dining set out sold all of the dining sets form Tropitone. So guess what? We re going to continue stocking Breezesta! We re-ordered the Skyline dining set with both 58 square and 60 rectangular tables. We ll show both tables with the 60 backless bench and armless patio chair in the two-toned Weathered Wood & Chocolate finish combination. The 58 will retail for $3,499 with two benches & four chairs and the 60 will retail for $2,399 with two benches and two chairs. The Basics adirondack chair and footrest sold well enough this year that we decided to bring in an additional color of Redwood. Along with the chair & ottoman we also added a small chat table in the new Redwood finish as well as the Cedar & Forest Green colors we already stock. The adirondack chair will retail for $319 and the footrest and chat table for $99. We had several requests last season for garden benches so we brought in the 60 Skyline Garden bench with arms for $499, a 60 Skyline backless bench for $329 and a Skyline Garden chair with arms for $349. All will be shown in the new Redwood finish. These new pieces will be a nice addition to the current line-up of miscellaneous seating pieces we already stock. The Windsail adirondack has sold very poorly so we are dropping them and will be marking them as clearance to get rid of them. Let s not forget what the benefits are of ordering recycled furniture from Breezesta. It is one of those vendors you can go to when customers are looking for heavy duty furniture they can let outside all winter long or furniture that will withstand the coastline salt air without corroding. This is the only furniture vendor we stock that truly gives you a Life Time warranty on their product. All other vendors we carry have a maximum warranty of no more than 20 years, most are only 15 years! This is also the type of furniture you should suggest when people are looking for something that will handle a larger sized person who is more than 300 lbs. Please remember that most manufacturers have a weight rating on their chairs and that is usually not more than 250 lbs! Also, Breezesta has a relatively short lead time for special ordering. Most special orders will ship in 2 weeks if ordered KD or unassembled! So not only is their product extremely durable but it ships even faster than Telescope! CASUAL CUSHION There are not too many changes this year to the Casual Cushion line up. We will continue to order the five best-selling cushion sizes for us this season which are the 20 barrel pad, 44 club chair, 74 generic chaise lounge pad, 43 wicker settee pad and the 49 generic adirondack cushion. We have ordered these items in a few new fabric choices as well as our standard navy, forest green, red and tan. It is impossible for us to stock every size cushion or color combination available so we have narrowed our selection down by using the 80/20 rule. Please remember, Casual Cushion is a relatively fast shipping special order cushion vendor and you can almost always find the right size cushion in their catalogue. Most cushion orders will ship within 3 weeks or less. In addition, this year they are allowing us to special order fabrics from the Sunbrella Fusion collection. This will increase our customer s fabric choices by more than 140 fabrics and bring their fabric choices to over 380 fabrics. With that many fabrics customers can t say we don t have any selection to choose from! GLOSTER

3 This season we have decided to focus a little more on seating groups from Gloster instead of dining groups. Our sales figures for deep seating are considerably higher than traditional teak dining so we are dropping several dining sets and have replaced them with two seating groups. The first new seating configuration is Vermont deep seating w/sofa. This group is a contemporary interpretation of the classic Adirondack style of furniture. The set features gently curved horizontal seats and back slats and creates a sturdy look without using any large sections of teak. This deep seating set will be shown with a sofa, lounge chair and ottoman for $3,899. In addition we will show a deep seating lounge swivel rocker and coordinating lamp and coffee tables. All the pieces will be shown in Sunbrella fabric color Kiwi with contrasting Walnut piping. Coordinating 16 & 20 throw pillows in Sunbrella fabric Shaded Lime will also be shown. The second is Vermont Deep Seating w/chaise. This is the same deep seating group but we will be showing it as a completely separate slot and featuring two deep seating Vermont chaise lounges and one rectangular side table for $3,599. We ll show this set in Sunbrella fabric Capri blue. We will bring back again this year the Solana sling collection. This year we will show the folding arm chairs in a new sling color of Marine Blue. The set will be shown with the 51 round gate leg table and four folding chairs for $2,899. We still have one dining set left with the old Solana folding chairs in a Canvas colored sling and a 53 Bristol small extending table. This set will be marked as clearance. Our long standing and most popular set, Ventura with a Navy cushion, once again, floored as a chat set with four reclining armchairs and a 40 chat table for $6,499. We are also showing a 9 Monaco tilting umbrella and base with this set. A matching ottoman is also available for those who want to put their feet up. We also added 16 throw pillows in a navy blue Marina stripe fabric to give the set a little color. This season we will continue to clearance out old, left over, one of a kind dining sets that will feature a combination of 77 rectangular & 54 round tables. The chair styles will vary and will include Cape, Kingston and Rye chairs. These sets will all be priced as clearance! HATTERAS HAMMOCK This year we added new colors in the square Soft Weave hammocks in colors Antique Beige, Light Green and Navy. These hammocks are distinctly different in that they look just like hand woven wicker weave. They are made of solution dyed, all weather fabric that surrounds a one inch layer of polyester fiber fill batting. These hammocks will retail for $269. The second new hammock this year is a Tufted hammock bed in color Capri Blue. This hammock is made of a top layer of Sunbrella fabric and a bottom layer of Duracord which surrounds a thick center of polyester hollow fill fiber that is made from recycled drink bottles. This hammock also comes with an attachable tufted trapezoid-shaped head pillow of the same fabric and plush padding. This Tufted bed is the Cadillac of hammocks and will retail for $429. We also ordered two Duracord rope hammocks in new colors of Green & Oatmeal and they retail for $209. In addition we re-ordered the Pillow Top hammock in fabric Rio Birch (tan & brown stripe) and it will retail for $349. Our opening price point hammock at $179 is the old standard white cotton rope hammock. We will also continue

4 to stock the 15 foot steel hammock stands in Black, Forest Green & Bronze for $199 as well as accent pillows in colors Green and Natural for $45. HOMECREST This years major change to the Homecrest line is that all of the new sets we purchased this season are made of powder coated aluminum instead of powder coated steel. We have always used Homecrest as a steel only vendor and have never really invested in any group they make in aluminum. Our customers today are more price conscious and steel furniture is much more expensive then aluminum. That being said we decided to make the change in order to make Homecrest look more competitive from a pricing perspective when you compare them to our other aluminum vendors like Telescope and Tropitone. In recent years Homecrest has come out with some very innovative and creative designs and we feel going forward we would like to showcase the groups that set Homecrest apart from other aluminum vendors. The second change to the line is that Homecrest has now switched to a two-grade pricing system similar to the other vendors we stock. As you remember from last year all fabrics were priced at one price level with no up-charging involved. In theory this seemed like a great marketing idea but in reality it ended up being very costly to Homecrest. So, to find the middle ground of keeping pricing down and also keeping the order process simple Homecrest has now added an A & B only grading system. It s very simple, only two grades of fabric, A & B. In addition Homecrest has trimmed down their fabric selections by more than ½. Looking back at last season we had more than one or two fabric delays. By cutting down on the number of fabrics offered Homecrest will now be able to stock larger quantities and hopefully eliminate the continuing fabric delays they suffered from last year. Homecrest s goal for 2014 is to cut down on the shipping time of their products from 4 weeks to 3 weeks. By addressing the fabric problems they feel they will be able to meet 100% of their goal. The third and final change to Homecrest s line is that now you will be able to have the same fabric on the front and back of their double slings. As you remember you always need to select a correlating solid color fabric for the back of the double sling. Now, you will be able to choose the same fabric on the front of the slings as is on the back. This should greatly enhance the fashion of Homecrest, as the chairs will now be as appealing from the back as from the front. The Andover collection was a slow seller for us this year so we will clearance out the spring chairs and replace them with the new group Lana which is described below. The bright colors we stocked this year, Blue, Red, Yellow and Green have been discontinued and replaced with a darker version of each color with the exception of Yellow. Apparently customers & retailers complained that the existing colors were to BRIGHT!! Go figure!! The first new group for this year is the Benton sling collection. We will show this group as a three piece bistro/seating group with two stackable sling chairs and a 30 round adjustable table. The table adjusts in height from so it can be used as an end table or as a dining table. This group is made of aluminum and we ll show it in a Nickel finish with Mango sling. The three piece set will retail for $899. The Holly Hill collection was also a slow seller for us so this group will also be put on clearance. Please note that the cushion fabric has been discontinued and is no longer available. We will not be replacing this group with any new group. The second new group this year is the Kashton sling dining set. This set is replacing the Palisades balcony set we floored last season. The Palisades set was made of steel whereas the Kashton is 100% aluminum. This set will be priced lower then

5 Palisades due to the fact that we are switching from steel to aluminum and we are also reducing the size of the dining set. Kashton will be floored with a 45 square slat top balcony height table and four balcony swivel rockers and retail for $2,799. The set will be shown in Flagstone finish with a Cordova sling. The third and final new group from Homecrest is the Lana spring collection. This seating collection features a new spring based chair and spring based chaise lounge. We ll show this group in Nickel finish with a Leena sling. We have purchased extra 30 adjustable tables to also go along with this group. The spring chair will be $359 and spring chaise lounge $469. This collection is replacing the Andover group that we are going to clearance out. We have had many requests over the last few years to try and find a replacement for the Lloyd Flanders spring chaise loungers that Dennis sold more the 40 years ago and we feel this collection will be a suitable substitute. The Palisades sling collection is being dropped and we are replacing it with the Kashton sling collection. We have only one set left of the Palisades and it is marked as Floor Model-Last One. The Legendary sling, Starburst Café and Starburst Bar height bistro sets have been slow sellers. We will clearance out all three sets this season and we will not be replacing them. KNF DESIGNS (Neille Olson Home & Garden) There are no changes to the line-up this year. Everything stays the same. We will continue to stock the Black Leaf table in three sizes: 30, 36 & 42 round. We ll also show 30 tables in patterns of Honey Bee, Finch, Black Olive, Cayenne Atlas and Provence. Please note that these tables, will be paired with a variety of chairs, from different manufacturers. We can always mix & match the chairs based on what the customer likes. You are not "locked in" at selling the chairs that we display with the table. These chairs may be sold as free stock. I can always find something to put with a KNF table so be flexible with the customers. Small side tables & plant stands are also available in a variety of patterns and colors. Special orders are still available from KNF and are running at about an 8 week lead time. Please be sure to point this out to customers at the time of ordering. We had a few issues last season with their lead times running longer than expected. Let s be up front with the customers on how long a special order with take. The catalogue & price list are up to date and there was not a price increase this year so all prices stayed the same. LAFUMA For this season we have decided to trim down the number of chair and recliner styles we stock and order larger quantities of the items that regularly sell. This year our # 1 selling item was not a zero gravity recliner as everyone might have thought but the Cham Elips folding chair. This year we ordered this chair in Ocean blue, Absinthe green and Seigle gray. Also new for this year is a Futura recliner in Bronze, a Futura Airshell recliner in Coral blue and a Futura XL recliner in Obsidian. We additionally added two new colors to the starting price point RSX Clipper recliner of Seigle gray and Artic Blue. ***Special Note: To clear up some confusion I just want to remind everyone of exactly what the Lafuma recliner and folding chairs are made of. I want to make sure everyone is on the same page. Lafuma chairs (Cham Elips) are all made of 100% aluminum. Lafuma zero gravity recliners (Clipper, Futura, Evolution) are made of 100% steel. Lafuma sunbeds (Maxi Transat, Transabed, FGX) are made of 100% steel.

6 In addition, each chair & recliner comes with a tag that has Pictograms on it that gives you all of the most pertinent information you will need to answer the most common questions customers will ask you about Lafuma products. LLOYD FLANDERS We are going to be making some huge changes to the Grand Traverse set this year. Normally we order this set directly from the Lloyd plant in Menominee, Michigan but this year we are going to be ordering this set via container directly from China where the frames are produced. By ordering this set directly from China we are substantially reducing the cost of this set by almost 20%. That will equate to a significant reduction in the retail price of this group. For example, the price of the sofa will go from $2,499 to $1,999. That s a savings of $500 just for the sofa! The cost reduction to this set is in the production of the cushions. The cushions produced in China will be a square, box cushion and not the standard, bull nose or waterfall cushion that we currently show on this group. Also, the back cushions will not have any buttons. Please note that if you special order cushions for this set from Lloyd they will come standard as a bull nose or waterfall cushion with buttons on the back cushion. If your customer does not want buttons on the back cushions all you will need to do is add (NB) to the item # and the item will not have any buttons on the back. Keep this in mind when placing special orders for replacement cushions!! Also bear in mind when you special order fabrics on this group there will now be a substantial price increase to the set. We will continue to show this set in our current Caramel finish and the fabric on the new cushions will be Sunbrella fabric Dupione Caramel. This year we have also added to the collection a lounge swivel glider. We still have a small backlog of discontinued cushions in our inventory and we will be flooring those cushions later in the season at a reduced price. We still have fabric swatches available of the discontinued fabrics, so if you want to sell them directly from stock, at a reduced price, we have something you can show a customer if the set is not physically on the floor. The newest set we purchased this year from Lloyd is the Contempo sectional. Again, this set is being ordered directly from China on a container which allows us to sell this sectional at a very competitive price. We will be showing this set as a 4 piece sectional with a corner unit, armless chair, loveseat and chaise lounge for $4,999. The loveseat and chaise lounge will be stocked as both a left or right arm unit. This will allow your customer a little more leeway when designing how the sectional will be laid out. Please note that this set must be sold as a 4 piece set only!! We will not allow you to add additional armless chairs to the sale. If a customer wants a different configuration then what we have in stock or you want to change the cushion fabric then you must special order the set directly from Lloyd in Menominee at a significant price increase! This set will be stocked in an Aged Walnut finish with Sunbrella fabric Linen Sesame on the cushions. Reflections will be clearance out for We have one loveseat left and several rockers and gliders. The sales of this set have been on the decline for a few years now so we are dropping this group and will bring something new in next year to replace it. The Hampton sectional will be floored again this year in the same Dupione Celeste (sky blue) fabric and Ash colored frame. We currently have three sets left in inventory and once we are out of stock on this sectional we will be replacing it with something new. The sales of this set have been up and down like a roller coaster and it s time for it to move on. The price will be reduced on this set to clearance it out!

7 We have one more set of Low Country left from two years ago. This group is marked as clearance, last one. This set will not be re-ordered but is still available by special order if anyone is interested! MEADOWCRAFT We are going to continue to stock the Monticello counter height dining set we floored last year in the same Canyon Spice finish. The sales were a little slow on this set in the beginning because we had to clear out the old set in the Sienna finish that was left over from It did end up being a good seller for us and we will continue with this new finish for The configuration will be the same: 60 round counter height table with six swivel stools and chair pads for $2,599. Due to the fact that Monticello is a great selling set for Meadowcraft we decided to also bring in this set in a dining height version. This set will replace the Vera Cruz set which will be clearance this year. The dining height version will be displayed in a smaller scale with a 36 square micro mesh table, two arm chairs & two coil spring chairs for $1,099. Seat pads are optional for $73 each. We will also stock a 48 round and 84 oval micro mesh table for those who want a larger configuration. The second new set this year is the Heritage deep seating set. This set will feature a butterfly backed curved loveseat, coil spring chair and club chair. All three pieces will be shown in Charcoal finish with Sunbrella fabric Spectrum Peacock on the cushions. We will also stock a matching 36 round chat table and 24 end table. The loveseat will retail for $1,299, coil spring $669 and club chair $559. The Heritage set is a smaller scale deep seating set so there is not a sofa or matching ottoman available in this group. You could substitute a cushioned ottoman from either the Vining s, Grayson or Athens groups if a customer absolutely had to have an ottoman. The only other pieces available in this collection are matching dining arm chairs and dining coil spring chairs which are available by special order. We have dropped the 42 wood burning fire pit and have marked the last one as clearance. We replaced this fire pit with one from Uniflame at a lower price point! New for 2014 Meadowcraft is also allowing us to special order fabrics from Sunbrella, Outdura and Bella Dura fabric mills in addition to the standard Meadowcraft swatch book. A complete list of available fabrics and pricing grades is located in the back of the pricing catalogue. Please note that these fabrics could take an additional 2-3 weeks to order as the fabric is not stocked at Meadowcraft and must be ordered directly from the fabric mill. NAPOLEON We will continue to stock two outdoor patio heaters from Napoleon. The Large size patio heater features 40,000 BTU s, an all stainless steel construction, wheel kit, electronic ignition and a 22 in diameter heat area. This heater will retail for $599. The second patio heater is a table top version that features 304 stainless steel with electronic ignition, 11,000 BTU s, a high efficiency burner and an adjustable output. This table top version will retail for $159. PATIO RENAISSANCE The Rivierra set this year is being shown in another new frame finish of Driftwood. Last year s frame color of Caramel was successful but we were hoping by changing up the frame color and getting away from dark weave finishes we can make this set stand out! We have also changed the cushion fabric to Sunbrella fabric Sailcloth Shadow and added contrasting throw pillows in fabric Chipley Stone. We will again

8 floor the same pieces we did last year. The price of the Rivierra has not changed and it will stay $2,499 for a sofa, chair & ottoman combination! We will again stock the Del Mar sectional this year in the same Godiva finish and a new fabric selection of Bocce Moonstone with correlating pillows from Casual Cushion in fabric Bangladesh Stratosphere. The sectional this year will be displayed as a six piece sectional instead of the seven piece version we showed last season. The only difference in this year s set is we will not be including a cocktail table in the set price. The set will include a left & right corner end, a 90 degree wedge and three armless chairs for $3,899. We will also change the cocktail to a square table instead of the rectangular version we showed last year. The cocktail table can be sold separately for $369. The cocktail table is not sold with the sectional and must be purchased separately. Please note that this sectional must be sold as a six piece set only. The sectional items are not sold individually and you cannot add or subtract pieces from the set price! The only new item this year is the Farnham fire pit. This firepit is a 36 x 58 rectangular aluminum slat top propane fire pit that will retail for $1,499. It features stainless steel burners, a sliding holder for the propane tank, air mixer for less carbon monoxide and it puts out 67,000 BTU s. The fire pit is shown in a Cork finish. We still have 3 sets left of the Ibiza cast set. This set is officially dropped and has not been re-ordered. Once again we have been unsuccessful at selling cast so this set is being sold at a significantly reduced price. We are including in the set price 6 seat pads from Casual Cushion. We have officially dropped the Mandalay dining set as we feel our strength from Patio Renaissance is in cushion seating. We have two 48 and one 76 slat top dining sets left in inventory along with a few extra chairs. This set is marked as clearance at a reduced price. This set will not be re-ordered. Back again this year is the stacking Bistro Chair. They are priced at $119 and we re-ordered them in Chestnut and Onyx as they are our two most popular colors. We still have some stock left in White and Sesame. We have matching 28 bistro tables in stock for $149 to match the Sesame and Chestnut chairs. Our table rack continues to be successful and we still have stock on the 76 oval ($359) & 48 ($269) round glass tables in Textured Black and Cahaba (brown). We are out of tables in Gloss White and did not re-order them as we had limited space on our container order. You can order relatively inexpensive dining tables from Telescope in Gloss White if you have a customer that is looking for a white table. The Universal bar set was a slow seller for us this year so we did not re-order it. We have one set left and it is marked as clearance at a reduced price. Please note that this bar & stools are sold as a set only. These items are not sold individually! SUNBRELLA (TRI-VANTAGE) As many of you have already seen we have recently become a Sunbrella outdoor fabric dealer. Our new kiosk features all of the outdoor fabrics that are currently available from Sunbrella. Going forward we will be able to special order cut yardage from any of the fabrics that are displayed on the kiosk or listed in the 2014 Sunbrella or Fusion stock books. This kiosk is a great way to make extra money with cut yardage orders as well as using it as a tool to help sell Sunbrella fabric on furniture from almost all of our patio furniture manufacturers. The cut yardage pricing is very reasonable and this should encourage customers to buy additional fabric for re-covering their existing furniture, making throw pillows or using the fabric to make sun resistant curtains. A catalogue and price book are at the design center and cut yardage will ship in a standard 54 width. There is a minimum order requirement of three yards or more. Cut yardage

9 can ship as early as next day if the fabric is in stock at the time the order is placed. Remember, that does not mean the customer gets it Next Day, you still need time for me to place the order and to include the transit time. TELESCOPE As always, there are lots of changes to the Telescope line up so here we go. The Aruba II collection will be floored again this year in a new finish and sling fabric. Telescope has limited the finish production runs on Textured Graphite for 2014 so we decided to switch this group out and bring it in with a Textured Black frame and Tweed colored sling. We will again stock this set as a 42 round bar height glass table and four swivel café chairs for $1,599. We will also stock a matching 6 square commercial umbrella from Telescope to match. The Brio sectional in MGP has been discontinued by Telescope and we will clearance out this group. The Brio has been a very unsuccessful set for us and apparently it was for Telescope also since they decided to drop it. A new collection introduced this season is the Bazza MGP sling. This group only features two items: a stacking café chair and a contour armless chaise lounge. We will be displaying this group with two contour chaise lounges and a Terra Stone rectangular coffee table. The chaise lounge is extremely comfortable and contoured perfectly to fit your body. The Terra Stone coffee table will be display lengthwise between the two chaise lounges. This is a unique set up as it always allows you more space for your book, towel, drink or tablet! This set will be shown in a Textured Black finish with a Ripple (gray) colored sling and an Earth tone top on the coffee table. This year we will bring back an oldie but goodie set of the Cape May cushion. To hit a better price point we decided to drop the Villa cushion set and replace it with Cape May cushion. This set will be displayed in the same Textured Black finish & Denmark striped fabric as the Villa cushion. We will be stocking the adjustable swivel rocker and swivel glider. Both will be shown as a four piece set around a coordinating fire pit. The Dash sling set that was introduced last season has been unsuccessful and we will clearance it out for the 2014 season. The 32 x 56 glass table shown with this set is discontinued and marked as a last one-floor model. We still have two 68 rectangular sets in stock as well as the matching chaise lounge. We will continue to stock the Director s chair bistro set we introduced last season. The set is shown with a 24 square bar height folding table and two bar height directors chairs in Walnut finish. The customer has their choice of canvas chair cover. Throughout the year we will display this set in the bar department as it looks better with the other billiard & game room products. Please be reminded that the director s chairs are not recommended for outdoor use and do best indoors or at least under a covered area if used outside! The Fortis sling collection is being dropped as the sales on this set were pokey. We have one set left and it is marked as clearance, last one. The Gardenella collection continues to be a consistent seller for us and this year there are only a few changes. We will clearance out all Gardenella in the Textured Canyon & Graphite finishes. We have decided to stock fewer styles in Gardenella and run deeper quantities of stock on the items that consistently sell. The price for a Gardenella set with a 42 Werzalit table and four arm chairs will stay at $799. Going forward we will stock Gardenella in only a white or black frame with several slings colors to choose from. Navy, Forest Green & Cobalt are our top three sling colors with a

10 white frame and we have also added a fourth color of Lime. Yes, I know, we have had Lime in the past and it seemed like it was a slow seller but the figures from Telescope tell us that across the board Lime is a top 5 color. We have added it back in because we really need another bright color and Lime works well with many other color combinations and looks great around a pool. We ll stock Lime as an arm chair and matching chaise lounge with arms. In addition we will continue to stock the armless chaise in the Fiesta Stripe and we have also added an armless chaise in Cobalt. The armless chaise is a great value at $219 compared to the chaise with arms at $299. In the Textured Black frame we have added a new sling fabric of Mocha. This is a top selling sling fabric on a Black frame and at an A grade price it stays consistent with the pricing we have on the White frames. We will again keep Gardenella on sale for most of the season to stay competitive in our market. Note: Effective this year the warranty for the Werzalit table tops only has changed from 3 years to 1 year. This pertains only to the table top and not the aluminum frame. The aluminum frame warranty stays at 15 years! Leeward continues to be our # 1 selling set from Telescope. Marine Grade Polymer is an ever growing category for Telescope and MGP now accounts for about 40% of Telescopes collections. This year Telescope has discontinued MGP in the Textured Graphite finish and we are switching over to the Textured Kona finish with a Latte colored Sunbrella sling. We have four sets remaining of the Textured Graphite and will clearance them out. The new set in Kona finish will be displayed a little differently this year. Telescope came out with a new MGP collection called Chandler and this group features wide MGP slated armless chairs & backed or backless benches. We will incorporate the Chandler backless bench and show this set with an 84 rectangular table, two Leeward arm chairs, two Leeward swivel rockers and one 64 backless bench. The set will retail for $3,099 which is about $700 less than the way we showed this set last year. In addition we will also be showing a cushioned Leeward hidden motion swivel rocker for $1,169 in Textured Kona with a Token colored Sunbrella fabric and matching cushioned ottoman for $479. Leeward cushion is a good seller for Telescope and we are hoping to get some special order cushion business off these two pieces. The Free Sling certificate program for Leeward will also be running again in The sling certificates will be in the back of the price list at the Design Center. **Reminder: Ammonia based cleaners, such as Windex, can permanently haze the surface of MGP and should never be used. Please remind your customers when selling any MGP product. A care & cleaning instruction tag is attached to every MGP item. The Momentum colored glass top bar is discontinued and is on final clearance. We do have extra backless Gardenella barstools in stock that can be sold separately from the bar. They are shown in a Textured Mahogany finish with a Hickory colored sling. We will bring the Ultra High Back Primera 11 set in again with the Aged Bronze finish with Sedona slings and again show this set with a 48 Werzalit table in Rocky Road. This will retail for a great price at $1,399. The optional table sizes are also available as a 48 round glass, 64 hex and 75 oval. Matching chaise lounge, end tables and a coordinating umbrella are also available. The next new set we brought in is the St. Catherine MGP sling collection. This set will be displayed in Textured Snow MGP with a Breeze (navy blue multi) sling. Typically we are not great at selling any sets in white, with Gardenella being the exception. Charlie Hesson, who is our new sales representative, has told us that snow/white in MGP is the #1 selling color. So, we decided to go out on limb and give it a try. White and navy has always been a winning combination and Charlie tells us this color combination has been across the board successful for Telescope. The St. Catherine

11 is a slightly smaller scale chair compared to the Leeward and we will be pairing it up with a 42 round MGP table. We ll show the set with table, two arm chairs and two swivel rockers for $1,799. Cross your fingers that this is a success as we are going a little out of our comfort zone on this color combination! Sling Replacement: Telescope has now added a video on how to properly replace a sling on their website at On the home page of the website the video link is on the left hand side down towards the bottom of the page. I would recommend that you watch this video to become familiar on how to properly replace a sling. This is a great tool to have a customer watch if they have never replaced a sling before and are unsure if this is a project they want to attempt! TREASURE GARDEN There are very few changes to the Treasure Garden line up this year. We will continue to stock 6, 7 1/2, 9 & 11 market umbrellas in a variety of fabrics and frame finishes. The 6 & 7 1/2 umbrellas will be stocked with a push button tilt and the 9 & 11 umbrellas will be stocked with the auto tilt feature. We will continue to stock the 11 rectangular umbrella but we only re-ordered it in a red fabric with a bronze pole as some of the other color combinations were slow to sell. The same goes for the 11 Easy Track umbrellas. The sales of this umbrella were also slow and we still have plenty of carry over stock from last season so no re-orders were necessary. The AG19 10 & AKZ 13 cantilevered umbrellas were big sellers this past season. We sold out of virtually every 13 we had in stock and I did end up having to reorder a few more mid-season. Due to the great success from last season we stocked up for 2014 and will have available five color combinations for customers to choose from. The sales of the 10 cantilevered were just as successful and we will have seven color combinations to choose from that include three different shades of red which was the top selling color for 2013 for both sizes of the cantilevered umbrella. In addition we will also stock the sand filled resin bases in bronze & black finish that were new for the 2013 season. We sold these bases in an almost one to one ratio with the umbrella and added an extra $159 to each 10 cantilevered sale as well as the addition of at least five bags of sand. Congratulations to all of the sales people for pushing this new umbrella base and adding profit & more commission to your umbrella sales! There are no major changes to the umbrella base line up with the exception of the Garden style base. This base was very popular last season so we decided to add two new additional colors of Black & Bronze. This 50 pound base is made of 100% cast aluminum and will retail for $179. There are no changes to the furniture cover line from Treasure Garden. We are still working through the back log of covers left over from Dayva and have been replacing sold out covers with the equivalent cover from Treasure Garden. Please remember that we do not stock every size of cover that Treasure Garden makes. If you can t find the size you re looking for in inventory then check the Treasure Garden catalogue for special order options. All furniture covers can be special ordered in quantities of one or more and shipped direct to a customer s home for an additional $15 up-charge. Please note that an additional $15 handling fee is added to any special purchase from Treasure Garden under $50. This charge must be added to customer s order to cover this handling fee! (A reminder is posted in the front of the price list!) The newest option that Treasure Garden has come up with is that they are allowing us to special order a limited selection of Sunbrella fabrics on all of the umbrellas in their line-up. There is a printed list of all the stocked Sunbrella fabrics available to order in the back of the Treasure Garden price list that outlines the grade the

12 fabric should be priced at as well as any additional upcharge the customer will need to pay when ordering that fabric. For example: fabric # 8059 Dupione Caramel (we are stocking this on the Grand Traverse) will be priced out as a Grade AAA plus an additional 10% upcharge. Treasure Garden would prefer you get customers to order fabrics from their swatch book but if a customer insists on Sunbrella it is available but may cost substantially more to special order! TROPITONE This year we will continue to floor the Cabana Club collection the same way we did last season. This dining set consists of a 66 rectangular Banchetto slat top table, two dining armchairs, two armless side chairs and a 60 Banchetto slat bench. The set is displayed in Greco finish with Verana fabric. The set will retail for $3,649. We are dropping the Lakeside deep seating set and replacing it with the Montreux cushion group. We still have four of the petite loungers left and they will be marked as clearance. We are also dropping the Montreux sling/padded sling dining group with the 87 oval Palazzo table. We have re-configured this set twice and have been unsuccessful at jump starting sales for this group. This group will be marked as clearance this season and we ll look to replace it again next year. The first new set this season is the Montreux Cushion group. This cushion group will replace the Lakeside cushion chat set we floored last year. The Montreux cushion group continues to be an outstanding seller for Tropitone and as some of you remember it was also a great seller for us in the past. This set will be floored as a chat group with four Swivel Action Loungers and a 42 square slat top chat table in Graphite finish with Dusk (blue & multi stripe) cushions. The set will retail for $7,099 and this set should be considered the step up set from the Telescope Cape May cushion set. We will also offer an alternative 42 round slat top chat table with umbrella hole for $959. Please note the 42 square chat table does not have an umbrella hole and the 42 round chat table does! I have noted the difference between the two tables on the sign. The second addition to the Tropitone line is the Montreux II collection. This combination dining set will feature a 48 square dining height Banchetto fire pit table and four Montreux sling swivel bar stools. The five piece set will retail for $4,199. This is our first try at combining a fire pit with the dining experience. The fire pit sits at dining height at 28 so it can be used as a dining table or a stand-alone fire pit if you choose. The bar stools are only a 25 seat height so you feel as though you are slightly elevation above normal dining height but not sitting as high as you would at counter/balcony height. The Montreux II collection also features a new two piece sling (similar to Aruba from Telescope). With the Montreux II you get the same classic look as the regular Montreux collection just with a more comfortable seat. With a two piece sling you never feel as though you re going to slide out of the seat. As Jeanne always says. It gives you better butt grip!! Please make note of the difference between the Montreux and Montreux II sling collections. Montreux is a single one piece sling and Montreux II is a two piece sling. Both collections are available this year from Tropitone and can be very easily confused if you are not paying attention. The Torino sling dining set will be floored again this year with an 84 oval Banchetto table, four sling armchairs and two swivel rockers in Graphite finish with sling fabric Sparkling Water for $4,199. Last year we introduced the Tropitone computer on the sales floor and started using the Build You Own Furniture program. We had moderate success with this new set up and I encourage everyone to use the program and get comfortable with it on the

13 sales floor. Tropitone is one of the few furniture companys we deal with that is going out of their way to utilize computer technology and incorporate it as an everyday selling tool. In the next couple of month s we will be trying out one or two new programs that Tropitone has recently developed and going forward we will be asking you to give your opinion, as well as your customer s opinions on how well these programs are used and perceived! Technology and the internet are here to stay so we want to use any and all tools that are given to use to help increase sales! Patrick & I will update you when we start rolling out the new programs and set up training time to review them and get you comfortable with their use! Since we are on the subject of technology and the internet I just want to remind everyone about all of the great, useful information that Tropitone has on their website. They have clear, detailed information on anything from product care & maintenance, fire pit installation & operation or directions for replacing a sling. At the bottom of the Home page there are at least a dozen different categories to choose from and that is where you should be sending customers to get their questions answered. Stop guessing and let Tropitone answer their questions. Nobody knows better how to clean a Palazzo stone top table then Tropitone! Guess what? The answer to that cleaning question is on the Tropitone website under Product Care for tables!! I just read it and learned something new. A 50/50 solution of water & vinegar is great for loosening embedded dirt on Stoneworks table tops! If I wouldn t have read it, I wouldn t know!
