2 Introduction Company Profile Introduction Very Good & Proper (VG&P) design and manufacture carefully considered, practical and beautiful products products with design integrity that will stand the test of time and are built to last using quality materials and craftsmanship. Sustainability VG&P consider sustainability from the very beginning of a project. We believe the most sustainable products are those that are designed to last and are manufactured responsibly. All of our products have been designed to break-down easily for straightforward replacement and recycling of parts, and we manufacture all our products in the UK and Europe, close to the material resources. For example, the plywood parts of our Canteen Utility Chair are sourced from sustainably managed forests, and press-formed near source. They are made from a robust 12mm thick European beech, which is a tried and tested, beautiful, natural material that will last for many years and gain character with age. Quality VG&P believe that the quality of the product always comes first, and we never compromise on manufacturing methods or materials. Our approach may sometimes cost us more, but in the long run we believe that a commitment to quality delivers better value for money to our customers. We work with a carefully selected network of material suppliers and fabricators, and all of our products are assembled and checked in house. VG&P s working methods enable us to constantly assess our products, and make improvements for the benefit of our customers. The Canteen Utility Chair and Table have both passed bs En 15373:2007 / test level 2 / strength, durability and safety requirements for non-domestic seating/tables. Design Our products are designed in house by Ed Carpenter and André Klauser and by other designers that share the VG&P ethos and aesthetic. We are growing our collection to be a comprehensive source for design-led furniture and accessories. VG&P are passionate about making we take a hands-on approach to design and work with our suppliers to inform our design intent and achieve the best results. New products can be designed for a specific project, or our existing products can be customised to meet your specific requirements. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss a project. Previous Projects We are very proud to have had VG&P products specified for projects worldwide, including for the headquarters of the BBC, Channel 4, Deliveroo, Facebook, Google, John Lewis and Waitrose, and WhatsApp. Our desking and other products are specified for WeWork across the USA. Cultural institutes featuring our chairs include Moderna Museet Malmo in Sweden, and the National Maritime Museum in London. Recently our chairs and tables were specified for Burntwood School, winner of the 2015 Stirling Prize for Architecture. VG&P products are selected for restaurants and hotels, as seen at the Standard Hotel in New York, Angela Hartnett s Café Murano, Merchants Tavern and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Hub in London. VG&P products are designed to be used and enjoyed.
