3 Led by Boston Consulting Group Feedstock push hits the demand wall Major oil companies in the Middle East and elsewhere see petrochemicals as the future because of increasing feedstock availability and declining demand growth for gasoline and diesel. This has resulted in a wave of new investments in petrochemical capacity, which is being led by Middle Eastern and American companies. But polymer demand is stalling, and, at the same time, the politics are changing. This presentation will analyze how these currents come together, and where the pain points will be, while assessing the likely effects on chemicals and polymers across all the major regions.
