5 An IoT Big Data Framework to understand mobility patterns around Sagrada Familia Big Data CoE has developed, together with Barcelona City Council, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, GSM and Orange, the Tourism Management Big Data & IoT in Action project. Its demo will showcase how multiple local data sources, combined with data from a telco operator in an IoT Big Data framework, were used to understand visitors mobility patterns around Barcelona; specifically in the Sagrada Familia area. 6 Mobile technology revolutionizes nutrition and healthy life habits Mobile gamification Eurecat will exhibit the PEGASO-Fit for future project at MWC2017, which encourages sport and good nutrition among young people through mobile applications and devices. PEGASO is based on a learning platform capable of youth education through virtual and reallife games and group challenges, based on an interactive approach in which users influence each other. The project employs some of today s most advanced technologies. In addition to a dedicated smartphone app, a virtual community, and a game, it involves the use of wearable devices. These are capable of monitoring the teens s physical parameters in order to prevent obesity and other health issues and long-term consequences caused by reduced physical activity and unbalanced diet. ekenku Physical activity, food consumption and everyday habits through different mobile gaming strategies ekenku is a service that telemonitors chronic diseases. It takes regular clinical parameters from any location using mobile devices. Data obtained are managed from the health centre to monitor each patient in a simple and safe way. Mobile strategies for a healthy life Eurecat designs and implements ICT-based tools for medical professionals and end users / patients, for the diagnosis, planning and monitoring of therapeutic progress and to assist patients to improve their quality of life. 6 We are focused on: Personalized Computational Medicine: Environments for simulation and bioinformatics modelling and decision support systems (DSS). It includes opportunities for placing manufacturing points close to the consumer, competitive manufacturing of short product series or reproducing any geometry imaginable to provide an immediate response to changing market needs. 3 PHOTONICS 10 TRENDS THAT WILL CHANGE THE FUTURE OF INDUSTRY Air and land vehicles, navigation and control, sensors and actuators, robotized cells and collaborative robotics, among others, to provide advanced solutions for automating different tasks in different environments. INDUSTRIAL 9 BIOTECHNOLOGY Security by Design, i.e. including cybersecurity as a requirement for an organization s IT systems from the onset, or Security in Depth, i.e. thinking of all doors that may allow attacks on cybersecurity if opened fraudulently, are concepts the companies will adopt to ensure that their assets are safe. Without any guaranteed cybersecurity, no true migration to the Industry 4.0 paradigm can be envisaged. It is widely used in the medical, food, pharma and textile industries to create new products and materials as well as to produce biofuels. 9 Cybersecurity Cybersecurity is a critical factor in IoT, with billions of interconnected, interacting devices and corresponding communication channels. It should therefore be considered a priority as part of our growing activities in mobile technology. Increasingly, mobile and wearables know more of our lives, what we do, when we do it, and even how we feel and what we think. In the field of Cybersecurity, Eurecat offers: Security audits in mobile applications. Security audits in networks and services Forensic network analysis. Forensic machine analysis. DDoS tests (resistance to attacks due to denial of service). Identity, privacy and biometrical authentication for mobile services. Security and Big Data (detection of irregularities in data traffic). Specialized security consultation (Security Master Plan, risk analysis, compliance, etc). Eurecat s Cybersecurity Industrial Lab investigates how cybersecurity is implemented in IoT systems, with focus on embedded equipment and infrastructure. Cybersecurity Industrial Lab Protection against new types of malware for mobile Eurecat has developed a mobile app against malware techniques. A report is made on possible countermeasures on how to avoid using overlays of transparent layers to prevent the user s tabs from external control by means of a malicious app at the top layer. 9
