2 Minimum infrastructure required for deployment of technological product in rural places MAY NOT be available most of the time. This is a HUGE challenge. Facts that limit implementation of R&D innovations to the Society Technical know-how generated in academic institutions related to basic needs such as water, food, energy and environment has been underutilized. In academic institutes, many times we conclude our research finding through publications. The most challenging part is to convert the R&D into 3-D product. From indigenous Science & Technology (S&T) generated in academic institutions - Urban sector has received the highest attention by way of deployment of these technologies - leading to urban rural divide in terms of prosperity and opportunities (imbalance in society).

3 Facts that limit implementation of R&D innovations to the Society In a country of the vast size such as ours, technology innovations and adaptation has to be evolved in a greater measure since such technology has to fit with varied local conditions and need to be applied quickly to enhance the quality of life of larger population. To create structured and scalable network of technology nodes in rural areas for providing easy access to modern technologies to all villagers. Involvement of other agency along with the technology developers institute is a must.

4 BARC Centre for Incubation of Technologies (BARCIT) Aim: To Develop any Technology from the Lab scale know-how to a ready-to-market level Technology transferred to the parties on non exclusive basis following Technology Transfer Agreement Party should have technical knowledge, good financial background and adequate experience of product manufacturing & fabrication with technical capability in the area of interested technology. MOU signed and technology know-how document handed over to the party. Hands-on training is provided in the Technology Developer s lab for a fixed hours. If party wants more time, it is chargeable. License is given for a certain time and it need to be renewed if party wanted to use the technology any more

8 AKRUTI-KRUTIK-FORCE Interactions TECHNOLOGY CAMPAIGN KRUTIK FORMATION FORCE MOBILIZATION FORCE IDENTIFICATION 6 KRUTIKs are functional in identification of FORCE, using the technology like soil testing, solar drying and water purification on a regular basis. The first 3 KRUTIKs were deliberated in remotest areas to give impact on the society which is usually neglected on the development agenda. KRUTIKs have brought some significant transformations in the routine of the community.
