16 Aims of the special issue This call for papers invites proposals for contribunons to an 2 nd EAPRIL special issue in the UAS journal which : - reflects the visions of future educanon and learning - all researchers and pracnnoners who are members or nonmembers of EAPRIL.

17 Aims of the special issue Manuscripts would tackle a broad range of (a) research quesnons and/or (b) cases relevant for the field of professionals who are using pracnce-based research to improve their pracnce. This would focus on ways of responding to developments in society and the workplace.

18 to present: PracNNoner research, methods, perspecnves and sharing reflecnons: - pracnce-based research as a form of inquiry, - which will share visions, dreams, new ideas and innovanve solunons - that will inspire the presence and future of educanon, - while acknowledging historical-cultural backgrounds. or

21 Factors that makes the implementation of the UASJournal challenging The unclear profile of the UASs outside the HE sector Weak self-esteem as a non-scientific journal Low international recognition Old-fashioned working culture in UASs Limited understanding of the content of the work Under-resourced workplans (lack of time) for publication Variable dissemination skills and motivation

22 Bibliometric statistics of UASJournal Abstract and citation-based impact evaluation Google Scholar: all the articles since 2011 (435 hits) Peer-reviewed literature database (Scopus and Web of Knowledge): no matches Peer-reviewed literature database citations tell mostly something about scientific impact of research, as acknowledged by other researchers Altmetric analyses by using the web explorers (e.g. ImpactStory and Altmetric), which discover the online impact on Twitter, blogs, news outlets and other different multiple platforms mentions and other indicators of awareness on an article/journal receive on the web and in social media, could tell something about the social impact or influence/visibility of that

23 UASJournal contribute to society Human understanding: It builds knowledge and develops individuals understanding. Wealth and prosperity: It introduces the opportunities to improve wealth and competitiveness Basis for decision-making: It provides justified starting points, guidance and problem solving. Practice development: It assists to maintain and develop the professional skills.
