Install the App Application Fingerprinting Card and Network Interface Card(s) in the replacement unit. 2. Install the Sensor software. 3. Test and label the monitor ports. (Optional) 4. Verify the installation. 2
Install the Application Fingerprinting Card and Network Interface Card(s) 1. Remove locking screw from top cover of the replacement unit chassis. 2. With your left thumb press down on the blue release button while using your right palm on the blue hand grip to push cover back to open. Remove the cover from the unit. 3
3. Gently lift both locking handles to remove the PCI riser assembly. 4. Lift the PCI riser assembly from the unit and remove the covers of the PCI slots that will be used. A 2 port Sensor requires Slots 2 and 4. A 4 port Sensor requires Slots 2, 4, and 6. 4
5. Please note: Steps 5 and 6 apply to the following units only: P S4514 A P S4524 A P S4724 A P S4724 V3 Sensor H7 210GMM Sensor H7 210GMM CAS 02100 2LX CAS 02100 2SR If you are building a model not listed above, please skip ahead to Step 7. On the full height side of the PCI riser assembly, push down on the blue lever and slide the PCIe riser adapter to the left until it can be removed. 5
6. Install the ADRACTRIS PCI X riser adapter and verify that it is locked in place by the blue lever. 7. Install the LCPX1300 (or DPI CAS) App Application Upgrade Card into the lower full height PCI X slot. 8. Install a full height Network Interface Card into the center full height PCI slot. 9. If applicable, install a full height Network Interface Card into the top full height PCI slot. This step does not apply to the following models: P S4514 A Sensor H7 2C Sensor H7 2C Sensor H7 4C Sensor H7 4C CAX 02100 2TX CAX 2100 4TX 10. Verify that all PCI cards are securely inserted into the PCI slots. 11. Align the three hooks (marked by red squares below) on the rear of the PCI riser assembly with the slots on the rear of the chassis. Press down gently on the PCI riser assembly until the four hooks engage the chassis back panel slots and the assembly is fully seated. 6
12. Reinstall the lid on the chassis and secure it with the locking screw. 13. Reinstall the chassis in the rack and reconnect the power, KVM and network cables. Install the Sensor software To install the software, boot from the DVD, log in, configure the software, and reboot the machine, as follows: 1. Insert the install CD/DVD into the machine. 2. Restart the machine to boot from the CD/DVD. A "boot:" prompt may appear. Some software versions may require you to type install and press ENTER. The unit will reboot automatically once the installation is complete. This should take about 15 minutes. 3. Log into the unit using the following login and password: Login: root Password: bb!nmp4y 7
4. Configure the software based on the product code of the unit. Refer to the table below to correlate the product code with the configuration code to enter in the configuration command as follows: /usr/mazu/bin/mazu-config <configuration_code> For example, to configure a P S4514 A, enter: /usr/mazu/bin/mazu-config P-S4514-A Configuration Code Product Code Profiler 7.5.4 Profiler 8.0.3 Profiler 8.1.5 Profiler 8.2.1 Profiler 8.3.1 Sensor H7 110GMM Sensor H7 110GMM P S4514 A P S4514 A P S4514 A P S4514 A Sensor H6 210GMM Sensor H6 210GMM P S4524 A P S4524 A P S4524 A P S4524 A Sensor H6 4MM Sensor H6 4MM P S4542 A P S4542 A P S4542 A P S4542 A Sensor H6 210GMM Sensor H6 210GMM P S4724 A P S4724 A P S4724 A P S4724 A Sensor H6 210GMM Sensor H6 210GMM P S4724 V3 Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H6 4MM Sensor H6 4MM P S4742 A P S4742 A P S4742 A P S4742 A Sensor H6 4MM Sensor H6 4MM P S4742 V3 Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 1C Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 1C Sensor H7 1C Sensor H7 1C Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 1C Sensor H7 1C Sensor H7 210GMM Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 210GMM Sensor H7 210GMM Sensor H7 210GMM Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 210GMM Sensor H7 210GMM Sensor H7 210GSM Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 210GSM Sensor H7 210GSM Sensor H7 2C Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 2C Sensor H7 2C Sensor H7 2C Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 2C Sensor H7 2C Sensor H7 4C Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 4C Sensor H7 4C Sensor H7 4C Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 4C Sensor H7 4C Sensor H7 4MM Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported CAS 02100 2TX Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported CAS 02100 2LX Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported CAS 02100 2SX Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported CAS 02100 4TX Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported CAS 02100 4SX Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported CAS 02100 2SR Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Sensor H7 4MM Sensor H7 2C Perf Sensor H7 2SM Perf Sensor H7 2MM Perf Sensor H7 4C Perf Sensor H7 4MM Perf Sensor H7 210GMM Perf Sensor H7 4MM CAS 02100 2TX CAS 02100 2LX CAS 02100 2SX CAS 02100 4TX CAS 02100 4SX CAS 02100 2SR CAS 02100 2LR Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported Unsupported CAS 02100 2LR 8
5. Enter the following command to finalize the configuration: /usr/mazu/bin/mazu-linux --rebuild-box 6. Reboot the system by entering: shutdown r now Test and label the monitor ports (Optional) After you have installed the software, you may wish to test the monitor ports and label them for future reference. The port number sequence may vary by unit and port type. You can identify and test the monitor ports as follows: 1. Connect one of the monitor ports to a port on your switch or tap. 2. Use the command line interface to run the dmesg command. 3. The command returns a message that is several lines long. The last line indicates which port is currently connected. For example, e1000: Mon1: e1000_watchdog_1: NIC Link is up 100 Mbps Half Duplex Flow Control: None 4. Label the port Mon0 or Mon1, as applicable. 5. Disconnect this port and connect the next one. 6. Repeat these steps to label the second monitor port. Verification Verify that the software was installed and configured successfully. 1. Configure the LAN adaptor on your test PC or laptop as follows: IP: 192.168.1.30 Netmask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 9
