Admitted to Bar in 1978, California Bar and U.S. District Court Central, Northern, Southern, Eastern Districts of California. Membership includes the State Bar of California, and Los Angeles County Bar Association, Labor & Employment Section Since taking a labor law class in law school, Alfred Landegger has been intrigued by the employer/employee relationship, and the tremendous benefits it offers each. He has seen it become unbalanced with laws tending to favor the employee. He is an advocate for employer rights. For more than two decades, through education, prevention, and innovative problem-solving, his firm has worked with employers to maintain a balance that can keep a company healthy and profitable

Barbara Brown Brown Mediation SPEAKER BIOS Barbara Brown has been mediating for over 10 years, focusing on the areas of her substantive legal expertise: business, commercial, real estate, and employment matters. Since 2006 she has been devoting full time to her mediation practice. During her 28 years as a litigator she represented both plaintiffs and defendants. She had her own firm, The Brown Law Firm, for over 10 years. Before that she spent five years as Senior Counsel at First Interstate Bank and 12 years in private practice. She is a graduate of UCLA School of Law (JD, 1978), Michigan State University (MA, 1970), and Ohio Wesleyan University (BA, 1966). In addition to her experience as a business person with her own firm, she has a wealth of personal experience outside the legal field that gives her a broad perspective and enables her to understand and work with different life experiences and viewpoints. She was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand (1966-1968) where she taught English as a Second Language. She spent eight more years teaching before going to law school. She was a member of the Planning Commission for the City of Santa Monica (2000-2007) and served as chair in 2004-2005. She also served on the Advisory Board of Sojourn, a shelter for battered women and children (1996-2004). Barbara's litigation and other experience, plus thorough preparation for each case, bring substantive expertise and credibility to her mediations. Known for her perseverance in pursuing resolution, Barbara has often been told that she is a very perceptive listener who brings intuition, good judgment, and always-needed calm into the room.

EUGENE C. MOSCOVITCH, ESQ. SPEAKER BIOS "The Guy Who Settles Everything" After twelve years of full time dispute resolution work, and having now successfully settled well over 1,250 matters, Eugene C. Moscovitch, Esq. has brought a wealth of practical knowledge, insight and experience to PMA Dispute Resolution, making him one of the most sought after mediators in Southern California. He has been recognized by the Daily Journal as one of the "Top 50 Neutrals in California" and is a member of the Board of Governors of the International Academy of Mediators. Mr. Moscovitch specializes in the resolution of Employment matters, Wage & Hour issues (including class actions), complex Business and Contractual disputes, Civil Rights lawsuits, Intellectual Property and Legal Malpractice issues, as well as significant Personal Injury cases. Gene is a frequent lecturer before State and local Bar associations, as well as at plaintiffs' attorney and defense counsel functions, on the subject of mediating and settling the most contentious of litigated cases. Mr. Moscovitch is able to draw freely upon his highly acclaimed background as a trial attorney (70-80 jury trials) and his thirty-eight year career as a negotiator to find ways to settle the cases that others often label as impossible. His relentless and energetic pursuit of the settlement objective distinguishes him from others who merely "try to get it done". What do you get when you combine a keen intellect and strong work ethic with a warm and friendly demeanor? A winning set of mediation skills which have consistently allowed Gene Moscovitch to achieve an extraordinary rate of settlement (approx 93 %) and an unparalleled degree of client satisfaction. Plaintiff and defense attorneys alike agree that Gene's consistently pragmatic approach, his practical insights into likely juror perceptions and probable Court rulings, and his ability to strongly empathize and identify with both parties, have all combined to make him one of California's most effective and busiest mediators. He currently mediates approximately 150 full day cases per year. An extensive, though only partial, list of plaintiff s attorney and defense counsel references, as well as Mr. Moscovitch's resume and most recent publications, can be found at this same website, along with appropriate contact information. www.pma-adr.com.
