The plant is introduced by its name and we go over what that plant needs for it to grow. The child chooses a place in the classroom where the plant will be. We place a label in front of the plant with its name. After all the plants have been brought to the classroom we make some 3 part cards for the children to work on. These cards are placed in the botany shelf. We also make a plant care schedule so that everyone knows how to take care of their plant.
