Your Official Photograph When is the studio open? Wednesday 27 June Thursday 28 June Friday 29 June Saturday 30 July Monday 2 July Tuesday 3 July Wednesday 4 July Your photos can be taken at any time during these times/days - we re ready when you are! The Official University Photographers Studio is on the first floor of the Students Union (opposite the Queen s Lanyon building on University Road). Remember, you can come and get your photo taken at any time - you don t need to pre-order, but it might save time on the day as you will be able to go directy to the photography studio. What does the Students Union Offer? Efficient and trusted professional photography service for over 20 years. Photography packages, starting at 30. (excludes postage & packaging). Free tea & coffee while you wait. Comfortable waiting area for you and your family. We accept cash, credit and debit card payments for all photo packages on the day. Your Graduation Guide Where do I get my tickets, and how many can I have? Tickets can be collected from the Academic Gown & Ticket Office, located at the back of the Administration Building. TOP TIP: You must have paid for your graduation and have your Graduation Reference Page with you in order to collect your Tickets and Gown. You will be given a specified time to collect your tickets, depending on your ceremony. Everyone is offered two guest tickets when registering. Additional tickets may be requested, but this is not guaranteed. Please check your Graduation Reference Page online on QSIS for confirmation of extra tickets allocated. Graduands do not require a ticket to gain access to their ceremony. TOP TIP: Graduation Information Point is located at the South Dining Hall everyday throughout graduation from 9.30am - 4.30pm. What if I want additional garden party tickets? This year, additional post-ceremony garden party tickets are available to purchase for each morning and afternoon reception at a cost of 10 each. Tickets are limited and will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Tickets can now be purchased from Fri 15th June from the Queen s Welcome Centre (Lanyon North), Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm. Tickets are non-refundable. Where do I get my award/ stage photography? Our photographers will endeavour to capture your special moment on stage in Whitla Hall. Photographs will then be available to view and purchase shortly after each ceremony at the Ede & Ravenscroft stand in Lanyon North. TOP TIPS! Look smart! We have Official Queen s Graduate ties, along with caps and scrolls which are available at the studio and FREE for use in your photo. The photographers are also experts at putting on those graduate hoods! If you need somewhere to check your hair/make-up before your photos, our prep area in the Students' Union, is adjacent to the studio. Plan ahead and make the most of your day! If you re using taxis to get to the venue, make sure you pre-book. Turning up late only makes for a flustered graduation photo that will be hung on someone s wall forever. The photography studio can also be a little busy immediately after each ceremony so don t forget we can take your official graduation photo anytime during graduation week Going on stage to collect your award is often the most daunting part of graduation. Take a few deep breaths before you walk on stage and try to enjoy the moment.»» The graduation ceremony is also a significant occasion for your family. Plan where to meet them after the ceremony - it will be tricky for people to find you in a sea of gowns. How to wear your Graduation Hood You may require pins to hold your hood in place, but these can be removed before your photo! Ties should be worn in front of your hood, not behind. 10

TOP TIP - Feet sore in your new shoes? We have plasters! Don t forget to pick up your copy of the Belfast Telegraph for the graduation listings. Graduation T-Shirts and Hoodies We ll be selling an exclusive range of Queen s University Belfast t-shirts and hoodies from our stall in the foyer of the Union. This includes Campus Clothing s graduation range - printed with your name and those of your classmates on the back. For further information please contact su.reception@qub.ac.uk. The Speakeasy Bar Celebrate at The Speakeasy Fancy a glass of bubbly to celebrate? The Speakeasy is also open from 11.30am everyday of Graduation week. The Speakeasy Kitchen Feeling peckish? The Speakeasy Kitchen serves hot food between 12pm-4pm on each day of Graduation. Live Streaming If you didn t manage to get tickets for all the family to watch you graduate in the Whitla Hall, don t worry we ll be live streaming the 2.30pm Graduation ceremony so anyone who missed out on a ticket can pop over to the Union while the ceremony is on before meeting you later to carry on the celebrations.
