Biomedical Engineering Society: BMES Largest student run organization in BME All BME students are encouraged to join $15/yr for student members largely offset by free food at events

Why join? One of the most important things we learn today as BME students is to sell ourselves as scholars of a new discipline BMES Exists to promote student understanding of the BS BMED degree, how to go above and beyond at Tech, and how best to utilize your degree after graduation

Promote public good/service on campus, in local communities, and even globally. Main focus: Organize volunteering opportunities and other philanthropic events for BMES Within the committee would be groups of people working on different events of your choice.

Red Cross Blood Drive April 4 (11am-4pm) Petit IBB Building Marketing Distribute of posters & e- fliers Host a sign up table a week before the drive (30 units!) Costumes for recruitment efforts!! -> Equipment Set-Up For the room, we need 20 chairs, and 6 6ft tables

Monthly/Bi-Weekly: MedShare Medical Equipment Repair Making sure they don t run in together with EWH Sun 02/12 (1pm-4pm) We ll do another one soon!

Tech Beautification Day March 31: Tech Beautification Day gttbd.org

GT Relay For Life March 31: GT Relay For Life Market and fundraise by encouraging people to sign up for Georgia Tech Biomedical Engineers team ($10 donation) Hundreds of Tech students team up at the CRC Fields to raise money for the American Cancer Society! The overnight event will include: Free food & T-shirts hourly track walks and other events to keep students energized throughout the night. Annual event takes place at a local level in communities around the globe. Relay events are overnight to symbolize the fact that, as the American Cancer Society says, cancer never sleeps.
