KraftyKid s Thanksgiving Projects Decorate Your Own Thanksgiving Table Napkin Rings Decorate faces with googly eyes or color any way that you like. Cut out the napkin ring template and attach your Thanksgiving Native American paper dolls with glue, scotch tape or staple. Insert the napkin inside and you have your own homemade napkin rings! Place cards Place cards for the table are fun to make. Just use the included heavy stock paper and fold in half. Color the Pilgrim and Indian and dolls, glue to the top of the card and then write each family member and guest on the card and place on the table. Now everyone knows just where to sit.

Thanksgiving Day Blessings These blessings are short enough to fit on place cards for your Thanksgiving guests and place at your table. It s also a great way to practice your handwriting and spelling skills. Meal time blessings We ask and pray To be with us All through the day. Thank you for our food, we pray May we in turn Do good today. *** Lord, we thank you for this meal For all the blessings you impart For our family, for our friends And for living in our heart. *** May we receive Your blessing today And appreciate What comes our way. *** Lord, for this food And all we need We give thanks For what we receive.

American Indian Blessing We return thanks to our mother, the earth, with sustains us. We return thanks to the rivers and streams, which supply us with water. We return thanks to all herbs, which furnish medicines for the cure of our diseases. We return thanks to the corn, and to her sisters, the beans and squash, which give us life. We return thanks to the bushes and trees, which provide us with fruit. We return thanks to the wind, which, moving the air, has banished diseases. We return thanks to the moon and the stars, which have given us their light when the sun was gone. We return thanks to our grandfather He-no, that he has protected his grandchildren from witches and reptiles, and has given to us his rain. We return thanks to the sun, that he has looked upon the earth with a beneficent eye. Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit, in whom is embodied all goodness, and who directs all things for the good of his children.

Cornucopia Craft The cornucopia, or horn of plenty, is placed on the table to show the bounty of the fall harvest. As a result, fruits and vegetables adorn our holiday tables and symbolize the wealth of food for the coming year. Why not make your own this Thanksgiving with our kid-friendly fruits and vegetables. Simply cut out the fruit and veggies and place in the cornucopia. Glue in place so that it looks like the fruit and vegetables are pouring out of the wicker basket. Something like this:

Paper Chains History: The paper chain consists of rings of colored paper glued together to form a chain for use in decorating a Christmas tree, banister, mantle piece, or doorway during the holidays. The paper chain, easy and fun to make, began in Victorian England. Why not make your own paper chains to decorate your Thanksgiving Day table? To make the chains like they did in Victorian Days: 1. Cut the construction paper into strips of desired size. The thicker the strips, however, the more paste it will take to hold them. 2. Mix flour and water in each bowl to make paste. Add more flour or water as needed to make paste thick but not lumpy. Note that the paste in bowl will solidify over time, so add more water as needed. 3. When paste is ready, apply about a half inch down on one end of a paper strip with a Q-tip. Connect the strip to form a loop. Hold the paper together firmly for at least thirty seconds, so that it will stay glued. 4. Stick another strip of paper through the first paper loop. Repeat step 3 until chain is desired length. Let chain dry for several hours before hanging.

Teepee Craft Project Krafty Kid Thanksgiving Day E-book 1. Color the teepee and write the names of the people who will be sharing your Thanksgiving dinner on each teepee. 2. Tape or glue 3 toothpicks onto the back of the teepee at the top. 3. Curl the pattern into a teepee. shape and tape :
