FLOOR PREPARATION Before starting installation, make sure that the floor is level and structurally sound. Note that the interior dimensions of the square spa enclosure are 113 inches x 113 inches. This will require a minimum size platform of 120 inches, including 1 inch over all around the spa. Start by finding the center of the platform. Draw a square figure 113 x 113 in the center of the platform with a chalk line ( see drawing below.) The doted lines represent the reference line for positioning the panels during installation. Remember that these are interior dimensions of the spa and the panels must rest on the outside of the doted line. 113 wall 113 CL CL panels TOP VIEW OF THE FLOOR AREA chalk line, CL : center line Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 8 of 24

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: Assembling the walls : Install the interior cappings on each panel with the use of a rubber mallet (this step may have been done at the factory prior to shipment.) As a reference, the screen is always facing outwards and the polymer windows facing inwards. There are 2 interior cappings per panel. There are a total of 7 large panels and 2 small side panels. As an example : Top view Determine where the door will be, it will be the last wall to install. When this information is known, you are ready to install the other walls Panel Panel Panel Panel = U bracket = #8 metal screws square head, 3 long = = L trim with four holes Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 9 of 24

Start by fixing the first panel on the floor. Make sure that it is be well positioned with your center line found before. The panels are fixed to the floor with U brackets. First, the U bracket is fixed to the floor, then the panel is fixed to the U bracket (like as shown on the following pictures). Different floor types: CEMENT FLOOR: you will need to pre-drill a hole with an impact drill and use special cement screws. FIBERGLASS ON WOOD: make sure you use the length of screw that is appropriate to your floor structure. Note that it is important that you seal the hole with caulking when piercing the fiberglass or else the fiberglass substrate may delaminate in the event of water infiltration. center line The U bracket must be fixed over the interior line to insert the panel Use the chalk line as a reference to be sure that your wall will be straight End of the platform Once your first panel is inserted in your brackets and fixed with 5/16 self taping screws, you are ready to install the second panel. Make sure that both panels are aligned edge to edge, this is necessary to install the double capping later. Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 10 of 24

Install the second panel, fix both panel together with three #8 square head metal screws of 3 long. Pre-drill one of them with a drill bit 5/32 inside the window lock to conceal the screws. Repeat this step 3 times Use a pair of grip to hold the panels together Now you are ready to install the cornice on top with 5/16 self taping screws. The holes have been predrilled at the factory for your convenience. The cornice must be flush and equidistant to each corner as seen in the picture below. Each cornices are as long as two panels edge to edge. as long as two panels Cornice must be flush Install the Flash attachment system on the cornice. To do so, tilt the attachment system as shown so that it hitches on the lip of the cornice, and then tilt it back straight. Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 11 of 24

Now your first wall is completed and it s time to start the second wall. Before fixing the U bracket, be sure that the panel is positioned at 90 to the first wall as shown. This is necessary for installing the corner capping later on. Exterior capping will be install later panel Top view panel Well positioned with a perfect 90 Fix three L trims with four holes on the side of the panel, those will be use to fix the two walls together. Fixed right in the corner Fixed with 5/16 self taping screws it should have a little chink, easier to snap the 90 capping Slide the 90 bracket insert in the upper part of the Flash attachment system so that it joins both panels together. Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 12 of 24

Use 5/16 self taping screws to fix the L trims and the bracket insert to secure and solidify the structure. Fix the fourth panel edge to edge with the third one, as explained previously, and then install the cornice and the Flash attachment system Follow the same steps for panels 5, 6 and 7. Building the 8 th panel: The 8 th panel is composed of 2 side panels, a door and an upper door member complete with its 2 outside cappings. To build this last panel : The door panel will look like this Fix a U bracket on the platform and insert one side panel on it. Be sure that this side panel is edge to edge with the large panel and be sure that the polymer window is outwards. Fix both with #8 square head metal screws of 3 long. Pre-drill the small panel with a drill bit 5/32. When this side panel is fixed, install a U bracket on the inside of each side panels as shown on the picture below. Use the gauge to be sure that the U bracket is well positioned Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 13 of 24

Screws on both side Slide the upper door member in the U bracket (which was installed inside the panel) and fix it with self taping screws on both sides, then install the cappings. To fix the second panel, measure 35 inches from the previous panel (this is the required opening for the door), and install a U bracket on your platform as shown. When the bracket is well positioned, insert the panel and fix it with 5/16 self taping screws. Install the cornice on the top of the assembled panels as done with previous walls. Install the Flash attachment system on the cornice, slide in the 90 insert to join the panels together. Fix the L trims with four holes and finish to fix the bracket insert with 5/16 self taping screws to secure the panels together. The walls of the spa enclosure are now complete. Installing exterior cappings : Once the structure is secured to the floor, the cappings can be installed. There are 8 exterior cappings that join the panels together, 4 double cappings and 4 90 exterior cappings Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 14 of 24

Install 90 exterior capping in each corner : Place the capping as seen on drawing below. Be sure that the screen is under the capping. Rest the other side of the capping on the other panel, make sure the screen is under the capping. With a rubber mallet, hit the side of the capping forcefully until the opposite end snaps into place. Start from the top of the structure and work your way down. If the walls have been joined correctly, the cappings will snap in easily. Repeat the procedure until all 4 cappings are installed in each corner. Hit the capping on the corner with an angle to insert it top view Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 15 of 24

Installing double exterior cappings on each side : Place the capping as seen on drawing below. With a rubber mallet, hit the middle of the capping forcefully until it snaps into place. Start from the top of the structure and work your way down. If the walls have been joined correctly, the cappings will snap in easily. Repeat the procedure until all 4 cappings are installed in each side Be sure that the screen is under the capping before to hit. When your exteriors cappings are done, do not forget that you have 4 double interiors cappings to insert too. To do so, folllow the same procedures as above. Hit in the middle of the capping top view Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 16 of 24

ASSEMBLING THE ROOF We have provided 4 small square cubes to be installed under the roof rafters to hide the visible opening in the rafters and to be used as a support. Using # 8 metal square head screws 1 ¼ long Position the small square cube as shown. By placing it under the rafter, it will enable it to stand up by itself. The rafters are now ready to be installed. Using # 8 metal square head screws 1 ¼ long, fix the rafters to the Flash attachment system. Place the rafters on the Flash attachment system as seen on picture. The rafters must be centered between the two cornices and must be slightly inwards to ensure no shard edges will protrude. Pre-drill two 5/32 holes in the rafter, through the Flash attachment system and through the 90 bracket inset (this step may have been done in the factory prior to shipment.) Repeat these steps until all 4 rafters are in position. With the help of small square cubes, each rafter should be standing up. Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 17 of 24

You are now ready to fix the roof crown. Insert each rafter in the roof crown as shown and fix each rafter with 5/16 self taping screws. You may have to pry the last rafter to fit it in the crown. ATTENTION: It is important to file down any rough or cutting edges found on the Flash attachment system and rafters. If this is not done properly, the vinyl roof may be damaged during installation or later on. The aluminium structure is now complete and ready to receive the vinyl roof. Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 18 of 24

INSTALLING THE VINYL ROOFING Unfolding the roof: The vinyl roof has been specially folded to facilitate the installation so leave it folded until further notice. Pointy part With the help of someone inside the spa enclosure, place the vinyl roof on top of the roof structure and pull the pointy part of the vinyl roof up towards the centre of the awning Unfold the vinyl roof until you get half of the roof covered. Make sure you match the sewing seems with the rafters. No sewing seem should be visible from inside the spa. Unfold the other half of the vinyl roof by flipping it over to the other side of the structure. Note that the vinyl has been folded accordingly to facilitate this process. Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 19 of 24

Once the vinyl roof is properly centred and the sewing seams are well aligned with the rafters, pull down each corner of the vinyl roof over the cornices as seen on the picture below. Tightening the vinyl roof using the Flash attachment system The white Fabreen strip sewn on the vinyl can now be inserted in the Flash attachment system to put tension on the vinyl. To do so, fold the PVC strip in the grove of the Flash attachment system as shown below. Follow this procedure until all 4 sides are inserted. With a sharp knife, cut a 3 inch long Cut over the bolt for easy access the grove of the Flash attachment system slit in the Fabreen to access the bolts which will tension the system. There are 3 bolts per system, on each side and in the middle. the PVC strip Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 20 of 24

You are now ready to apply tension to the system. With a 5/16 hex wrench key, tighten the screws on the Flash attachment system. Make sure you tighten all the bolts on each system so that the tension is distributed equally. When the Fabreen is cut A 5/16 ratchet key to tight the screws It is important to alternate this tightening procedure on all 4 sides of the roof to ensure that the vinyl roof is properly aligned and tightened. This completes the roof installation. From inside the shelter, it should look like this : Rev. 2006-06-01 Page 21 of 24
