Confirmation & Cancellation Policy: Confirmations of entry will be sent out by e-mail as complete paperwork is received. If you must cancel your entry(s), 75% of fees paid to NSAA will be refunded if the cancellation is received by October 7, 2017. 1. All entries must be made from natural fibers and completed after October 31, 2016. 2. REGARDLESS OF HOW THE ACTUAL ITEM WILL BE DELIVERED, you must PRE-REGISTER. Use one of 2 options (mail-in registration OR on-line registration) to PRE-REGISTER: Mail- in option: Fill out the first page of this document and mail with payment to NSAA, P.O. Box 1131, Stanwood, WA 98292. Mail-in registration must be postmarked no later than October 11, 2017. The deadline for mail-in entries is one week earlier than on-line registration to allow for postal delays. On-line option: Register and pay on our website at http://www.fiberfusion.net/fiber-artsshow.html. On-line registration must be completed no later than October 18, 2017. Once you have PRE-REGISTERED, there are 3 ways to get your actual fiber arts entries to us! MAIL IN - Entries may be mailed to: NSAA, P.O. Box 1131, Stanwood, WA 98292. Entries must be mailed no later than Oct. 11th 2017. Entries MUST be accompanied by a prepaid, pre-addressed, return label from US Postal Service, and will be returned in the same box sent. We will be unable to return ribbons and entries until shipping arrangements have been made. SHOW SITE CHECK-IN You may drop off your entry at the show site Friday, October 20, 2017, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, or Saturday morning, October 21, 2017 by 9 a.m. REMOTE DROP OFF You may hand deliver your items to a designated collection site with a member of Team Fiber Fusion. Entries are to be picked up by Owner on Sunday, October 22nd from 4:00 pm to 5:00 p.m. Indicate on Fiber Arts Entry Form if you would like your entry(s) shipped to you (must send pre-paid, preaddressed US Postal Service shipping label with registration). 5. For each skein/fiber art entry attach a 3 x 5 card with the following information (do not put any ID on this card). Judging Criteria for all entries: Judging will be anonymous, with points given for creativity, craftsmanship, hand-feel, visual appeal, appropriate use of fiber and technique, effectiveness, written description, intended use, and final finish. CLASS A: HANDSPUN YARN Skeins must be minimum of 25 yards & tied with four figure-8 ties. Balls of yarn will not be accepted. 1. Single Ply fine 2. Single ply medium 3. Single ply heavy 4. Two or three ply fine 5. Two or three ply medium 6. Two or three ply heavy 7. 3 or 4 ply specialties for weaving or knitting (such as cabled) 8. Novelties fine 9. Novelties medium 10.
