As a driver, you ll be delivering on behalf of our key retail customers, many of whom are well known high street and online brands. DPD has always aimed to be the leader in our field. In recent years, thanks to the DNA of our people and market-leading innovations we ve enjoyed tremendous success. As a result, our team has grown from 5,000 to nearly 12,000 people over the last ten years. DPD is the UK s favourite parcel delivery company. We combine fantastic people, amazing service, innovative products and state of the art technology to deliver an incredible customer experience. If you re a delivery driver, you can expect choice, flexibility, opportunity and clear communication from us. In short, we want to be the carrier of choice for delivery drivers. Whether it s operating as a self-employed owner driver franchisee and maximising your earning potential, as a self-employed owner driver worker with company benefits, or as an employed driver with a full package of employment benefits with DPD, I m sure we ve got the right opportunity for you. DPD, the UK s favourite delivery company We deliver on behalf of the UK s biggest online sellers, and are in the enviable position of having the best technology to support our drivers. Our award winning Predict service gives our customers a one hour delivery timeslot and access to a real time map on which they can follow their driver. Some of our Major Customers

As an Owner Driver you ll be your own boss If you re looking for a full time owner operator business opportunity with low start up costs, then being an Owner Driver is for you. As an Owner Driver, you ll provide collection and delivery services to DPD, typically over five days per week with flexibility for you to choose the days that fit your lifestyle. We operate seven days a week, which means there are opportunities for you to increase your earnings further. Five great reasons to become a DPD driver You ll collect as well as deliver You ll generate revenue from both your collections and deliveries and be rewarded for both. Full training programme We won t just let you get on with it. We want you to be totally confident with the technology and our operations, so we ll give you full training and day to day support, allowing you to focus on maximising your earnings. Financial support while you re training You are responsible for your own tax and national insurance contributions, so we ll even support you financially whilst you re still learning. After all, we want you to be great at what you do from the start. Latest technology We ve invested in providing the latest technology to support you in planning and running your route. You ll be guided to each and every stop by your handheld technology. Our award-winning Predict service provides customers with a one-hour delivery window, so every delivery you make will be accurately mapped for you using the same technology, making deliveries a whole lot easier. Payment as you go We ll pay you promptly every four weeks, leaving you to focus on your business.

Deposit and Franchisee fees DPD has a range of deposit plans so that you have complete flexibility over how much you pay over a timescale to suit you. There are three options if you want to become an ODF or ODW, and two options if you want to become an ODF Lite. If you want to become an employed driver you don t need to pay a deposit. There s a great future waiting for you as a DPD driver Full uniform The DPD uniform, whilst having a great modern look, also caters for all weathers and all preferences with options from shorts to fleeces. Full package You can utilise your own vehicle, but if this is your first business venture, we can provide you with a full vehicle support package. This will include servicing and wear and tear, and you ll receive your own fuel card for your vehicle. Future growth After 12 months, you can expand your business to take on additional routes. The opportunities are there for the taking. Long term contracts of up to 5 years We want to attract and retain the best ODFs, so we ll offer you a contract of up to 5 years. What you ll be delivering You ll be delivering a wide range of products on behalf of many of the leading companies in the UK. Service breaks We ll support your with requests for service breaks; we ll just need you to give us sufficient notice. You ll be part of team DPD Your depot support team will be there for backup, plus you ll be included in regular social events. And we ll reward you for your loyalty We ve got a great loyalty programme specifically for our ODFs, with cash and recognition for your key milestones.

Choice and flexibility We will offer unprecedented choice as to the different ways in which drivers can provide service to DPD. Choice of contract means drivers can be employed drivers, self-employed owner driver workers (ODWs) or self-employed owner driver franchisees (ODFs). We want our drivers to be the best paid in the industry. The choices we offer are: Employed drivers Employees with a full package of employment benefits provided by DPD Self-employed owner driver workers (ODWs) Self-employed contractors with paid holiday, statutory sick pay and pension entitlement provided by DPD Self-employed owner driver franchisees (ODFs) No benefits provided by DPD Or have you considered a future as an ODF Lite?! We also have opportunities for you to operate your own business through our ODF Lite scheme. With a low cost entry point, ODF Lite is a fantastic opportunity for all ages and genders, with flexible working hours and volumes, and you ll have your own DPD branded vehicle which is easy to drive. A day in the life of an ODF Lite driver 1 Your day starts with your van Here s your vehicle, fully liveried, insured and ready to go. Your vehicle has both side and rear doors for easy loading and scanning. 5 When you ve delivered all your parcels, you ll return to the depot Time for a quick debrief with your backup team at your local depot.

2 Van s loaded and you re ready to go As a self employed ODF Lite driver you ll load your own van and organise your own day. This means you ll be fully in control and able to operate your route efficiently and effectively. 3 Your route is mapped out for you Our state-of-the-art journey planning systems guide you through your route to each and every delivery. It s the latest technology and really easy to use. 4 Making your deliveries Our customers love getting their parcels within their one hour delivery window.

We ll support you every step of the way We want our drivers to be the best, and know that involves giving you full training and support every step of the way. That s why we ve created a five week training programme specifically for you and this role. Here is how your first five weeks will look. Week 1 Business Start Our On the Job Trainers (OJTs) guide you through your first week, covering everything you need to know to be successful as a driver. You ll have a fellow driver share their experiences with you, and you ll also meet your depot team and be assigned a Shift Manager, who will be there as a mentor throughout your first five weeks. Week 2 Live and on the road! Your first week out on the road and, as you might be feeling a little nervous, we ll make sure your Franchise Mentor, Shift Manager and Depot Manager are there to support you. We ll start you with a small route and increase the number of deliveries as you get more confident. We will also support you financially so you don t miss out on any of your earnings potential. Week 3 Confidence is growing You start the week with a quick review of how well you progressed during your first two weeks. Your training will continue with the introduction of new products and services that our customers use. With five days experience on the road behind you, your knowledge increases and you start to make changes that make you more efficient. You will start to feel more comfortable with procedures and your route and environment. We will make sure you don t take on too much too early and support you financially so there s no impact on your earnings whilst you re still learning! Week 4 You re nearly there! We start again with a review of the previous week, to make sure you are on the right road to success. Things will be feeling more familiar now. Towards the end of the week, you should start to feel really confident in your new role. Week 5 You re a collection and delivery expert You ll be close to your full potential. We ll start the week again with a further review with your Depot Manager. Remember we will be by your side supporting you all the time through your journey, getting you to a point where you can earn and meet your potential with your ODF franchise.
