The New Jersey Water Color Society Is proud to present its 72 nd Annual Open Juried Exhibition September 29 October 26, 2014 At The Middletown Arts Center (MAC) 36 Church Street Middletown, NJ 07748 Calendar: Preregistration: Postmarked by September 18. Receiving: Saturday, September 27, 10am -12Noon. Removal of Declined Paintings: Saturday, September 27, 4-5pm, or Sunday September 28, 10am -12Noon. Reception: Sunday, October 26, 2-4pm, Awards Ceremony 3pm. Removal of Accepted Paintings: Sunday October 26, 4-5pm. Eligibility: Open to all residents of New Jersey, 18 years of age or older and all NJWCS Members. Original water media on paper/yupo. Collage (created with only handmade water media on paper/yupo materials, no found objects). All entries must be framed under glass or plexiglas. One entry per artist. No paintings previously shown in any NJWCS exhibition. No copies, classwork, or workshop paintings. No computer generated art, water-soluble oils, varnished, woven or dimensional buildup of textural materials. No nude paintings. Please read carefully Preregistration Requirements Visit our web site at www.njwcs.org Framing: Please choose mats that are white, off-white or light neutrals. Colored mats will not be accepted in this show. (Colored ¼" inside mat liners are OK.) Please make sure your painting is suitably framed with wire and ready to hang. For safety, all metal frames (regardless of size) must be under plexiglas, as well as framed paintings larger than 21" x 28" or a 24" square. Maximum frame size is 44" x 44", minimum frame size 11"x 14". Multiples, i.e. diptychs, triptychs, etc., must be contained within one frame, meeting the above requirements. The New Jersey Water Color Society and the Middletown Arts Center reserve the right to refuse any painting they feel inappropriate for this exhibit.

Preregistration postmarked no later than September 18. Entry fee is $30 for Elected and Associate Members (with 2014 dues paid) and $35 for nonmembers. Please make checks payable to NJWCS, Inc. Entry fees for rejected work will not be refunded. Preregistration forms are also available on our web site www.njwcs.org.
