NOTE: Repeat step 6 for passenger side. Fig 6a IMPORTANT NOTICE: The rear section of the Contractors Rack should now be fully assembled at this time. Only the hardware listed in step 2 should be tightened at this time. Any other hardware should be loose (Fig 6b). Fig 6b 4751 Littlejohn St. Unit A, Baldwin Park, CA 91706 Page 8 of 12 11/13/08

Front Component Assembly (passenger side shown) Follow the instructions below which correspond to the truck bed size that you will be installing the Rack on. IMPORTANT NOTICE: There are two positions for the front Uprights and the front Cross Bar, depending on whether the Rack is to be installed on a short bed or long bed truck. Determine whether you have long bed or a short bed truck application and slide the components onto the Side Rail as shown below. Do not tighten any hardware until directed to do so. For Long Bed slide components from this side For Short Bed slide components from this side Short Bed Assembly With the gussets on the Front Cross Bar facing the rear of the Rack, slide it onto each of the front Side Rails first, and then with the gusset on the Uprights facing the rear of the Rack, slide them onto each of the Side Rails behind the Front Cross Bar (Fig 6c). Fig 6c Long Bed Assembly With the gussets on the Front Cross Bar facing the front of the Rack, slide it onto each of the front Side Rails first, and then with the gusset on the Uprights facing the front of the Rack, slide them onto each of the Side Rails behind the Front Cross Bar (Fig 6d). Fig 6d 4751 Littlejohn St. Unit A, Baldwin Park, CA 91706 Page 9 of 12 11/13/08

Step Seven: Attach the passenger side Mounting Foot to the front Upright using (1) 16mm x 90mm Hex Head Bolt, (2) 16mm Flat Washers, and (1) 16mm Nylock Nut (Fig 7a). NOTE: The lip on the Mounting Foot must face towards the inside of the truck bed. Repeat step 7 for driver side Mounting Foot. Fig 7a Step Eight: Attach the gusset on the Front Cross Bar to Front Upright using (2) 16mm x 70mm Shoulder Bolts, (2) 16mm Flat Washers, (2) 12mm Flat Washers, and (2) 12mm Nylock Nuts. Proceed to secure the top clamp of the front Upright to front Side Rail using (2) 12mm x 50mm Hex Head Bolts, (4) 12mm Flat Washers, and (2) 12mm Nylock Nuts (Fig 8a). Short bed assembly shown. NOTE: Repeat step 8 for driver side. Fig 8a Step Nine: Slide the Cab Hoop onto both Front Side Rail assemblies. Secure the Cab Hoop to Side Rails using (2) 10mm x 70mm Carriage Bolts, (2) 10mm Flat Washers, and (2) 10mm Nylock Nuts (Fig 9a). NOTE: It may be necessary to tap the parts together using a rubber mallet. Fig 9a Step Ten: The front section of the Contractors Rack should now be fully assembled at this time and all the hardware should be loose. Slide the front and rear assemblies together (Fig 10a). NOTE: It may be necessary to tap the parts together using a rubber mallet. Fig 10a 4751 Littlejohn St. Unit A, Baldwin Park, CA 91706 Page 10 of 12 11/13/08

Step Eleven: The Side Rail Assembly Clamps are installed in pairs. One side has a square hole and the other side has round hole. Place the Clamp with the square hole to the outside of the Rack and place the Clamp with round hole to the inside of the Rack. Center the Clamps over the joint and secure them using (2) 16mm x 35mm Carriage Bolts, (2) 16mm Flat Washers, and (2) 16mm Nylock Nuts (Fig 11a). NOTE: Repeat step 11 for opposite side. Fig 11a Step Twelve: The last component is the Center Cross Bar. The Center Cross Bar is adjustable and can be positioned anywhere along the Side Rail. To attach the Center Cross Bar, place the U shaped clamp over the lower Side Rail bar and secure it using (2) 12mm x 75mm Hex Head Bolts, (4) 12mm Flat Washers, and (2) 12mm Nylock Nuts (Fig 12a). Fig 12a Step Thirteen: Before lifting the Contractors Rack onto the truck bed, you will need to size it. - Measure the length of the truck s bed with the tailgate closed. - Subtract 4 inches from the measurement, which is the approximate spacing of the Uprights. - Measure between the center of the Uprights and move the front Uprights backwards or forwards as needed (Fig 13a). Remember do not tighten any bolts! Fig 13a Step Fourteen: Your Contractors Rack should be fully assembled and sized for your truck at this time. The next step is the installation process and will require the help of 1 or 2 assistants to lift the Rack into position. - Lift the Rack onto the bed rails of the truck. - Align the rear Mounting Feet as close as possible to the corner of the bed rail. - Have your assistant position the front Mounting Feet as close as possible to the corner of the bed rails. NOTE: The Uprights can be adjusted while the Rack is on the bed. - When you are satisfied with the spacing of the Uprights on the bed rails, proceed to attach the Rack to the truck in one or two ways: NO DRILL or DRILLING INSTALLATION. - Please follow the instructions on the next page, which outline your choice of the installation method. 4751 Littlejohn St. Unit A, Baldwin Park, CA 91706 Page 11 of 12 11/13/08

No Drill Installation 1. In order to safely attach the Contractors Rack to the truck bed, you must use (2) J Hooks per Mounting Foot to hold the Rack in place. In some truck beds there are obstructions under the bed rail which would prevent using (2) J Hooks. If you experience difficulty using (2) J Hooks per Mounting Foot because of under bed rail obstructions, you will need to re-adjust the Upright spacing in order to attach (2) J Hooks. 2. Insert J Hooks from the bottom of the Mounting Foot and engage them under the bed rail. 3. Secure the J Hooks to bed rail using (2) 12mm Flat Washers and (2) 12mm Nylock Nuts (Fig 14a). 4. If any portion of the threaded part of the J Hook remains above the bed rail, cut it off using a hacksaw or bolt cutter. Fig 14a Drilling Installation 1. Stand on the outside of the truck bed. Pull the Mounting Foot towards you until the lip of the Mounting Foot sits firmly against the edge of the bed. 2. Mark the three slots on the top of the Mounting Foot using a felt tip marker. 3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 for the other three Mounting Feet. Remove Rack from vehicle. NOTE: Ensure that the rear feet and front feet are in the same locations, in relation to the front and rear of the bed. IMPORTANT! Before drilling your vehicle s bed rail, check to see if you have a clear hole from the top of the bed rail to the underside. You will need a minimum of (2) bolts to attach each Mounting Foot to the vehicle. If you do not have (2) clear holes, readjust the spacing of the Uprights on the bed rails until you do. 4. Using a 5/16 drill bit, drill all marked locations on the vehicle s bed rails. 5. Apply a small amount of rust inhibitor (not included) to the metal surface before attaching the Mounting Feet to the bed rail. 6. Place Rack back on the vehicle and secure the Mounting Feet to the vehicle using (12) 12mm x 40mm Hex Head Bolts, (24) 12mm Flat Washers, and (12) 12mm Nylock Nuts (Fig 15a). Fig 15a Final Alignment 1. Once the Rack has been securely attached to the vehicle, it can be aligned and the bolts tightened in place. 2. Proceed to the front of the vehicle and note the horizontal Fig 16a alignment of the front hoop in relation to the horizontal surface of the truck s cab roof. Have an assistant push or pull the rack until the two are parallel (Fig 16a). 3. When you are satisfied that the Rack is properly aligned, proceed to tighten the Uprights to the Mounting Feet. 4. Proceed to tighten all the hardware at this time. 5. Do periodic inspections to the Contractors Rack to make sure all hardware is secure and tight. 4751 Littlejohn St. Unit A, Baldwin Park, CA 91706 Page 12 of 12 11/13/08
