Draw Mirror Axis STEP 5: select the curtain panel as shown in image 5 _ click on the pin to Un-Pin the element STEP 6: from the Properties panel _ change the element type to: Store Front Double Door STEP 7: go to Level 1 _ select the 2 south curtain walls _ using the midpoint of the building mirror them to the north side STEP 8: go to the 3D View _ orbit around to the north side _ select the left side curtain wall _ from the ribbon click on the Edit Profile button _ draw two new lines as shown in image 8 5 Select Curtain Panel 7 Draw two lines 6 8 2
STEP 9: stretch the vertical & horizontal existing lines back to form a closed shape as shown in image 9 _ click on the green check mark from the ribbon to fi nish STEP 10: repeat step 9 for the right side north STEP 11: go to Level 1 _ type shortcut WA (wall) _ change the wall type to a Generic 6 _ change the Unconnected Height = 12 _ change the location Line = Finish Face: Exterior STEP 12: draw two walls to complete the north elevation 9 11 Draw two walls 10 12 3
Draw South Clearstory STEP 13: go to the 3D View _ verify the north walls are drawn correctly STEP 14: orbit around to the south side _ next we need to draw the 3 Clearstory Walls STEP 15: go to T/Ext Wall _ draw the south clearstory curtain wall with an Unconnected Height = 10 as shown in image 15 north walls 13 15 STEP 16: go to the 3D View _ select the new curtain wall _ set the Base Offset = 1-0 _ set the Unconnected Height = 9-0 _ set the Vertical Grid Pattern = 8 _ set the Horizontal Grid count = 1 3 clearstory walls 14 16 4
STEP 17: go to T/Ext Wall _ draw the west clearstory curtain wall with an Unconnected Height = 10 as shown in image 17 Draw West Storefront STEP 18: go to the 3D View _ select the new curtain wall _ from the ribbon click on the Edit Profile button STEP 19: change the profi le shape to a triangle to match the sloped roof line as shown in image 19 _ if prompted click Remove Constraints STEP 20: click Delete Elements from the error window _ click on the green check mark from the ribbon to fi nish _ set the Vertical Grid Pattern = 4 _ set the Horizontal Grid count = 1 _ Mirror the curtain wall over to the east elevation to complete the building model 17 19 18 20 5
