Mark van Berkel President and Chief Executive Officer Mark van Berkel is president and chief executive officer of TrueNorth Avionics, leading the company s strategy and overall direction. A cofounder of the company, van Berkel is a licensed pilot, and has more than 20 years of experience in the avionics industry. Before founding TrueNorth, Mark held senior positions in the aviation business at EMS Technologies, now part of Honeywell, and at Transport Canada s Aircraft Services Directorate. With a deep interest in both the technology and usability of airborne communications systems, Mark s vision for the company is to continue building products for the connected aircraft that allow owners and operators to be more productive. An early entrant into the world of airborne communications, Mark s desire to build systems that are reliable, and his deep knowledge of both the technical and certification requirements of avionics systems have helped grow TrueNorth into a leading supplier of systems to VIP aircraft and more recently avionics OEMs. Mark has taken a fresh look at implementing airborne communications. This development of new and exciting solutions continues to push the company forward. A proponent that technology must function as expected, he also recognizes that style and integrating systems into the cabin are important to aircraft owners and operators. TrueNorth s mission is to help users of our products be more successful in their business and personal lives. 1

Terry Markovich Chief Technology Officer Terry Markovich is TrueNorth s chief technology officer, and one of the founding visionaries behind the company s Simphonē OpenCabin solutions. Terry has more than 30 years of avionics engineering and technical experience, including work with Atlantic Aviation, and Duncan Aviation as an avionics facility manager. Terry s broad experience and deep knowledge of avionics and the aviation industry have been pivotal to TrueNorth s widely successful connectivity solutions. He is passionate about developing products with features that in his experience are in demand in the aviation market. A licensed pilot of two years, Terry has a solid understanding of what owners and aircraft operators need in communication systems. Having installed myriad of connectivity systems on aircraft, he believes that products should be easy to understand, install and configure, which is why we designed TrueNorth s system from the ground-up and with installers, operators and passengers in mind. 2

Bonnie Wright, CPA, CA, PAdm Chief Financial Officer Bonnie Wright is TrueNorth s chief financial officer, reporting to the CEO. In her role as CFO, Bonnie oversees the company s financial reporting, system design, and fundraising. Also a Chartered Secretary, she started her career at a chartered accounting firm, and brings nearly 30 years of experience in senior financial roles in the high tech industry to her role at TrueNorth. Bonnie possesses a deep understanding of the technology landscape, and the many stages of a company s growth having held previous positions at TMI Communications, BIO LOGICALS and Atsana Semiconductor, and as a venture capitalist with Working Ventures Canadian Fund. Bonnie joined TrueNorth in early 2011, and has since developed the metrics and systems that continue to help the company manage its growth and affect its financial performance rather than simply reacting. With a passion for instilling a solid understanding of the company s financial status in the management team Bonnie understands that developing effective reporting is key to building the business, I look forward to the day when a majority of business aircraft will have our systems on them. 3

With a deep technical knowledge and business acumen, Steve helps companies develop unique and visionary partnerships. A submariner early in his career, he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science.
