But many times the plans go on to the to-do list. Peg and Sandy seem to whip the blocks up as soon as there s a new video. So they re bringing their knowledge to the March meeting and presenting some of their most fun blocks. If you re a MSQCer too, feel free to bring some of your creations. This is a good opportunity for those of you who aren t on-line to lean the blocks too. Greeters - Johanna Mellinger and who else? Treaters - Bev Mathis, Connie Brauer, René Simkins Fat Quarter drawing - St Patrick s Day/Green Bring: Yourself, friend? Show and Tell KFKs Block exchange blocks (if participating) Any finished challenge UFOs Fat Quarters for the quit show fat quarter raffle. Country Store items Art in Pieces Quilt Show 2015 Stems of Joy pin Available at the March Meeting $5 How often do you want meetings? Last month, guild members were asked to vote on how often to have the meetings. You spoke. The answer is throughout the year, continue with meetings throughout the summer.

Page 2 Falls Quilt Guild March 2015 Volume 30, Issue 3 February Meeting What a treat to see all the Komforters for Kids Mystery Quilt results. They ll make a wonderful display at the quilt show. And everybody chipped in to make a good-looking tied KFK. As you saw on the front page, the membership voted to continue having meetings throughout the year. Sherry Parnell and Cindy Skelton won the door prizes and Lola Barnard too home the Valentine/red fat quarters. Thanks to Deana Wilson and Dianne Meier for jumping in to help Dorothy Poitra with greeter duties. The lists will be circulating in March. It takes all of us to keep the meetings going. Show and tell continues to be eye candy to dream about. Top - tying a KFK. Middle left - Block from Cathy Rogers Sun Bonnet Lady quilted, hand embroidered and hand quilted. Middle right - The State of Montana with counties in different fabrics by Deana Wilson. Bottom - Table runner for Valentine's Day from Kay Butler.

Falls Quilt Guild March 2015 Volume 30, Issue 3 Page 3 Art in Pieces Quilt Show 2015 April 24-26, 2015 Thank you to everyone who stepped up to the plate and volunteered critical committee chairmanships. Susan Hedahl will have the 2015 quilt show pin for sale at the March meeting. They re only $5. What a keepsake! Fat Quarter Raffle Stephanie Kern is ready and willing to take your fat quarter donations for the always fun fat quarter raffle. Bring them to the meeting or take them to her at Big Sky Quilts. What a difference the colors make! What will you exhibit in the quilt show? How about a tote that converts to a duffel bag that Diana Simkins is showing at left? Or how about a fun table runner, above, that Deana Wilson made? This is a fun show and I hope all of you exhibit your work. Entry rules and forms are being finalized and send them out soon.

Page 6 Falls Quilt Guild March 2015 Volume 30, Issue 3 Marian Wiley wanted us to know that she doesn t JUST make bear quilts from panels. She re-discovered this block which she pieced some years back. Sandy Syvertson had some wonderful bear fabric. She made one KFK and had a few blocks left over. In the frugal tradition of quilting, she took the orphans, added other scraps and made a second KFK. Two kids will truly be comforted. (Close up of bear fabric at right. Have you picked out your quilts for the show? Think bed quilts, wall hanging, home décor, totes and purses, clothing. They re hiding in your home ready for showing! Challenges and Exchanges Split 9 Patch Block Exchange The Split 9 Patch Block Exchange began last month and will go through December. The complete directions were in the January newsletter. Remember, you can hop in or hop out any time. If you missed the directions, you can get them from the newsletter posted on the website or contact Diana Simkins or Lynn Hebert.
