Zip It Up by FusionBeads.com Approximate finished length: 7.5 inches Beads and other products needed for one bracelet: 2 grams - Size 11 Matte Metallic Sky Blue Round Japanese Seed Bead (SB1837) 11 grams - 2x5 Black/White Blue Luster Duets SuperDuo 2 Hole Seed Bead (SB7616) 2 - Black Swarovski Crystal Pearl Bead - 5810-5mm (PL6321) 6 feet - FireLine Braided Bead Thread - Smoke Gray -.008 diameter - 6 lb/size D - 50 yard spool (SM1001) Tools needed to complete the bracelet: Size 12 English Beading Needles (TL1647) Xuron Thread and Fiber Scissors (TL3000) Mini Stainless Steel Bead Stopper (TL1685) Beading Techniques needed to complete the bracelet: Basic Herringbone Stitch

Instructions to complete Zip It Up bracelet: If you are not familiar with basic herringbone stitch, before beginning this bracelet, refer to the Basic Herringbone Stitch Beading Technique, and practice weaving a piece of beadwork using conventional single-hole beads as shown in the technique. Once you are comfortable with the stitch, begin making this bracelet. Step 1 Thread a needle with approximately 6 feet of beading thread (add new thread as needed). Add a bead stopper onto the thread about 1 foot from the end. (to be removed later). Step 2 String the following: 2 Duets SuperDuo seed beads (string first one through black side and second one through the blue side) 2 size 11 seed beads 2 Duets SuperDuo seed beads (string first one through black side and second one through the blue side) 3 size 11 seed beads Pass through the second hole of the last Duets SuperDuo bead.

Step 3 String two Duets SuperDuo seed beads (string first one through black side and second one through the blue side). Pass through the second hole of the next two Duets SuperDuo beads from the previous row. Step 4 String 2 Duets SuperDuo seed beads (string first one through black side and second one through the blue side). Pass through the second hole of the next Duets SuperDuo bead from the previous row.

Step 5 String three size 11 seed beads, and pass through the second hole of the last Duets SuperDuo bead added. Step 6 Repeat Steps 3 5.

Step 7 Repeat Steps 3 5 for the desired length of the bracelet. Step 8 String two size 11 seed beads and pass through the second hole of the next two Duets SuperDuo beads. String two size 11 seed beads and pass through the second hole of the last Duets SuperDuo bead.

Step 9 String one size 11 seed bead and pass back through the last Duets SuperDuo bead that was passed through. Step 10 To attach the pearl clasp, string three size 11 seed beads, one pearl, and one size 11 seed bead. Pass back through the pearl and the third size 11 seed bead. String two size 11 seed beads, and pass through the 2 nd hole of the two middle Duets SuperDuo bead.

Step 11 Repeat step 10 for the second side. Pass through the 2 nd hole of the end Duets SuperDuo seed bead.

Step 12 Weave the thread back and forth through a few rows and trim the thread. Step 13 On the opposite end of the bracelet, remove the bead stopper, and thread a needle on the tail you left behind.

Step 14 String 17 size 11 seed beads. Pass back through the third size 11 seed bead strung. Strung two size 11 seed beads, and pass through the two size 11 seed beads from the first row.

Step 15 Repeat Step 14 for the second loop. Pass down through the outer hole of the last SuperDuo bead. Step 16 Weave back and forth through a few rows and trim the thread to complete your bracelet.
