Select the actual sea state on the Anti-Sea Clutter control bar and increase or decrease the control until clutter s residuals are comparable to the receiver noise level. Auto anti-sea clutter: Select this method in restricted areas or when the sea state is changing abruptly in different directions. Select auto from the Anti-Sea Clutter control bar list. Rain clutter reduction Manual anti-rain clutter: Select this method when you want to optimize land detection and rain reduction. Adjust the Anti-Rain control bar until the rain clutter level becomes comparable to noise with land reflections still visible. Auto anti-rain clutter: Select this method in heavy rain when it is not possible to discern between rain, sea and land clutter. Transmitted pulse Transmitted pulse is controlled by the range scale and the Power Boost setting. Gain Adjustment Manual: Adjust the level until only a few speckles of noise are visible. In clutter conditions, adjust it to reduce the false echoes after the clutter has been suppressed by anti-sea and anti-rain controls. It is preferable to adjust the gain manually in heavy clutter conditions. Auto: Gain is automatically changed until the optimal detection level on noise is reached. It will automatically display some speckles of noise, not to lose any targets. I.R. and Sweep to Sweep Correlation Interference Rejection is always enabled in the default setup. Use sweep/sweep correlation to completely clean up the picture from very strong interferences. Select Target enhancement to increase dimensions of small echoes. Scan to scan correlation Select this video processing when an additional reduction of interference is needed and to completely clean up the scanned picture from sea clutter residuals. Warning: Fast approaching targets can be cancelled depending on SC/SC level (2 or 3) target size and speed. Auto Sea/Rain (available only if Advanced Video Processing is enabled) When the function is on, a preset clutter removal strategy can be selected for the appropriate scenario. Options available are: Open Sea, Coast, Heavy Rain, Light Rain/Harbour. Adjust the intervention with the same progress bar. Gain progress bar is not working (except in Heavy Rain) and anti rain clutter is always set to Auto Rain.
