What is Stone Veneer? The Stone Veneer product line is one of the most exciting innovations to come along in years. Light, flexible and ultra thin Stone Veneer sheets. Arvicon International developed and refined the process and is the manufacturer of this amazing product and is continually developing new applications for the Stone Veneer product lines. The quality is second to none. It is real stone and everyone that sees it is amazed at the seemingly never-ending list of applications. Because of the different geographical locations of the quarries we use, we are able to offer different colorations of the slate and quartzite used for the Stone Veneer.
How Does Real Stone Become Stone Veneer? We actually split/pull the slate into very thin layers of stone and apply GRP (Glass fiber Reinforced Polyester resin) under extreme pressure and heat for a strong bond producing the backing for the Stone Veneer sheets. Due to the high degree of adhesion accomplished between the slate/quartzite and the GRP, the product now becomes flexible to an extent. With the addition of different backers the applications for Stone Veneer increase.

Packing & Shipment Stone veneer is packed safely in order to deliver the clients without any damage. Maximum quantity of Stone Veneer for one container is 6000 square meter. The minimum quantity of order is 200 square meter. Stone veneer can be dispatched either by ship or plane. Installation Thin Slate Stone Veneer can be glued to surfaces using most standard laminate adhesives having a thick body or foaming quality. Prior to application of the glue clean, brush and de-grease the receiving surface or dust, oils or any other contaminants. In same Installations, and depending upon the adhesive used, it may be necessary to prepare the back of the thin Stone Veneer with solvent or recommended primer by the adhesive manufacture. We recommend making a test area with any adhesive prior to final application.
