I am inspired by the artists Mondrian, Hundertwasser and Fred Williams. At my studio you will see a range of brightly coloured objects ranging from mugs to garden features. Working in clay, Chris creates both sculptural and practical pieces, inspired by the place, water and the land. Chris uses terra sigillata, glazes and slips to create a range of lustrous, textural surfaces on wheel-thrown and hand-built forms.

I work with mixed media, and aim to abstract the landscape, fracturing the perspective using minimal marks, hinting at what I felt in those places. I create functional, wheel-thrown porcelain ceramics, bringing handcrafted beauty to everyday life. Objects bring ritual and honouring to our lives. It s our relationship to objects that interests me; they occupy space in our homes and cradle memories and stories.
