SKILL ENHANCEMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME ON SOYA PROCESSING & MARKETING FOR LIVELIHOOD OF RURAL POPULATION OF CENTRAL INDIA (Commencement Date: 10.01.2018-6.02.2018) Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGN TU), Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh is providing Skill Enhancement Training On Soya Processing and Marketing For Livelihood of Rural Population of Central India. The programme intends to address the livelihood needs of the rural population and students with a view to impart commanding skills on Soya processing and Marketing. Programme Overview Soyabean is used widely by the common people because of growing health consciousness, also it is extensively used in the form of texture vegetable protein and experts are of the view that the growth rate of Soya Food Industry is more than 20 percent. In fact soya milk is made from soya beans and it is a costly protein food made from the seed. Unlike other protein foods its milk is fat and cholesterol free and is a suggested and good food for infant, kids, grownup people, pregnant ladies etc. It is easy to digest and is an excellent food. Looking to the huge population and livelihood needs of the rural population of Central India it becomes imperative to enhance the Skill and Knowledge of the downtrodden rural people and young students of the aforesaid geographical area about the prospects and processes of Soya Industry.

R & D for New Product Development 4. Essentials of Consumer Behaviour 5. Impart Knowledge about Personality & Characteristics of an Entrepreneur 6. Business Idea Generation and Implementation Process 7. Selection of Markets and Understanding of Market Strategies 8. Fundamentals of Production Processes 9. Essentials of Purchasing 10. Basics of Grading and Standardization of the product 11. Total Quality Management and Surface Knowledge of Six Sigma 12. Daily Practicals on Manufacturing Process of Soya 13. Field training on Marketing 14. Knowledge about Financial and other Assistance for setting up of New Commercial Ventures or Small Scale Industry 15. Practical Test and Assessment Viva-Voce on the Topic of Training Programme Expected Outcome The expected outcome of the proposed training are- 1. Students will be familiar with the personality dimensions of the entrepreneur. 2. It will enhance creativity and innovation related attributes in the students. 3. Students will learn to conceive idea through live examples, observation and practical skills. 4. Students will learn to produce a business plan. 5. Students will learn to set up new venture 6. It will enhance the commercial know-how of the students 7. Students will be skilled and trained to operate specific soya plant independently
