R Creating Childhood Memories IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ... It is important for you to go through your boxes and check all material, hardware and wood prior to building. So that you can familiarize yourself with the material. Also it is very helpful to read and look over this instruction booklet. This will help insure you build your Jungle Gym properly, safely and more efficiently. A little time now can save you time when your building! If you have any missing parts or damaged material or are having trouble installing your new Eastern Jungle Gym product. R Creating Childhood Memories Play Safely Instructions 1) Do not let children play on your Eastern Jungle Gym product until it is fully and safely assembled. 2) Go over all safety points with children prior to letting them play. 3) Adult supervision is required for children of all ages. ) Warn children from playing, walking or running in front of or behind any moving objects. 5) Warn children from twisting on the swings this can weaken product and cause it to break. 6) Warn Children not to attach any objects to the Swing Set such as clothes lines, jump ropes or any other rope this may cause strangulation hazards. 7) Warn children from pushing empty swing equipment, twisting chain or ropes or jumping off any moving swing equipment or deck. DO NOT use any part of the swing set in a manner that it is not intended for. 8) Warn children from playing on swing set if it is wet this can cause swing set to become slippery. 9) Warn children only one person on a swing at a time. 10) Warn children that anything other than sitting on swings is dangerous and can cause serious injury. Never stand or kneel on swings. 11) Warn children to not loop chains over any object this can cause the chain to weaken. 12) Children should not wear any loose clothing while playing such as scarfs and hats with strings or any other very baggy clothes. This can cause tripping hazzards. Choosing a Location to Build your Eastern Jungle Gym When selecting a your Eastern Jungle Gym location site keep in mind the child s safety. Here are some recommendations to help you create a safe play area. 1) The swing set should be located on fairly level ground. The stationary components such as ladders, rock walls and slides are required to be a minimum of 6 feet from any obstruction such as buildings, trees, rock wall, clotheslines, fences and overhead branches. Any swinging equipment is also required to be a minimum distance twice the height of the swing beam away from these obstructions or structures as well. 2) Do not locate Swing Set on asphalt, concrete, packed earth or other hard surfaces. Now that you have located a safe area to build your Swing Set you are ready to begin.

R Creating Childhood Memories Tools Required #2 Square Head Screwdriver and bit Medium Phillips Head Screwdriver and bit 7/16 Standard Socket 1/2 Standard Socket 9/16 Standard Deep Well Socket Standard Socket Wrench / Electric Impact Gun Electric Drill 9/16 Box Wrench 1/ Pilot Drill Bit 7/8 Countersink Drill Bit Tape Measure Carpenters Level Claw Hammer Razor Knife Step Ladder Safety Glasses Assembly Safety Guidelines 1) Keep all children away from assembly area. Power tools and other dangerous equipment will be needed. Many parts are heavy and could seriously injure a child. 2) Your ready to start your assembly process. You will need at least two adults to safely and easily assemble your Eastern Jungle Gym. 3) Wear safety glasses when drilling out wood to protect your eyes from flying wood clips. ) Make sure all lag bolts and nuts are tightened and secured completely. 5) After throughly reading all your information, and have located your swing set site. Carefully unpack all your parts. NOTE: keep check list close by. Remember that a little time familiarizing your self with the parts and instructions before you begin will help you avoid mistakes and save time later. Maintenance Instructions Here are some maintenance tips that must be done to ensure safe play. 1) At the beginning of each play season look over swing set: check nut, bolts, screws and tighten as needed. Look over all components such as swing seats, slides, chains, ladders and wood components for deterioration or sharp edges and replace if necessary. 2)Oil all metal components such as swing hangers and tire swing hangers. 3)Spot sand any areas that are checking or splintering and check for broken parts and replace if necessary. ) We recommend on a yearly basis, to coat your swing set with a sealant. You should look over set to make sure it does not need spot sand first. This will help preserve the natural beauty and characteristics of the wood. Be sure to use non toxic sealants.

R Creating Childhood Memories SPECIAL NOTE BEFORE BEGINNING YOUR ASSEMBLY: All Recessed holes must be piloted with 1/ drill bit to help minimize splintering. All lag bolts must be accompanied with a washer before driving in lag bolt. Now you are ready to begin assembling!

Dream GROUND SUPPORT BASE Step #1 GS255 G S 2 5 5 R255 R255 G S2 55 5 3½ R255 Layout ground support base boards. 2 - GS255 2 - R255 (as shown in the photo). Measure 3½ and 5 in from each corner of both GS255 s (as shown in photo). G S 2 5 5 R255 Countersink Holes R255 G S2 Countersink Holes 55 1-3 lag in each corner Stand up ground supports on end and install with 1-3 lag with washer through GS255 into R255. Use the 3½ and 5 marks you made earlier as guidlines NOTE: The counter sink holes in R255 should face the inside of box. The counter sink holes on GS255 should face outside of box. Measure from corner to corner on each side of ground support base. Make sure your measurements are the same. This will square of base.

Dream POSTS Assembly Step #2 36½ P96 X X X Layout - P96 clubhouse post (as shown in the photo). Measure in 36½ from one side of P96 posts and draw a line (as shown in the photo). Do this to all posts. NOTE: Mark the longer side with an X. 36½ PT26 X O O O O O O O Now place PT26 floor teak supports over X with edge on line drawn. Install with 2-3 lags. Continue on all posts. Post complete continue to next page for post installation on clubhouse. NOTE: The 36½ side is the TOP of post mark with an O.

Dream FLOOR Assembly Setup # O O Position first completed x post into the lowest corner of the ground support base (as per you landscape). Than level both sides. NOTE: Notice the position of post is actually on the outside of the base. Also the 2x teak is facing inside of base. NOTE: The O mark is at the top. After leveling, fasten x post to ground support base using - 3 lags (as shown in photo). P O S T Level Floor Supports PT26 Unlevel Ground P O S T First post completed (as shown in photo). NOTE: If installing on unlevel ground place first post in lowest corner of ground support base and dig the remaining 3 posts in ground as needed to bring level with first post. O O O O O O Using first post as a guide place level on PT26 floor teak mounted on post. Dig down second post until level with first post. Again fasten with - 3 lags in holes provided. Continue this process until all post are fastened. NOTE: Make sure the O is always on the top of post and 2x teak is facing inside of clubhouse.

Dream FLOOR Assembly Setup # FJ255 F J 2 5 5 R255 R255 F J2 55 5 3½ R255 F J 2 5 5 R255 Countersink Holes R255 F J2 Countersink Holes 55 Layout floor joists 2 - FJ255, 2 - R255 (as shown in the photo). Measure 3½ and 5 in from each corner of both GS255 s (as shown in photo). FT255 1-3 lag in each corner Stand up floor joist on end and install with 1-3 lag through FJ255 into R255. Use the 3½ and 5 marks you made earlier as guides. NOTE: The counter sink holes in R255 should face the inside of box. The counter sink holes on FJ255 should face outside of box. 1-3 lag in each side FT255 R255 F J2 NOTE: Center countersink hole on FJ255 should be at the top of joist see photo to the left. 55 FJ255 Install Floor teak FT255 using hole provided with 1-3 lag. FT255 will run in the flat and be flush with top of FJ255. Make sure the countersink screw holes on FT255 are facing the ground. F B 5 6 8 FT255 F B5 6 8 FT255 Start decking your floor using FB568 one on each side of floor frame (as shown in photo). Install using 2 screws. Continue decking your floor using FB568 until it is completed (as shown in photo). Install using 2 screws. Turn floor over and screw FT255 to floor decking using 2 screws (as shown in photo).

Dream FLOOR Installation Step #5 Place floor on post teaks that you leveled earlier. At this point all four post and floor should be level. NOTE: Make sure floor orientation match ground support base orientation when placing floor on post. Pull post tight to floor making sure that the floor is resting on 2x teaks. Now install with 2-3 lags in each corner. From under the clubhouse lag the floor into post in all four corners using 2-3 lags. Clubhouse floor is completed!

Dream SLIDE WALL installation Step #6 SLIDE Wall 20½ WR296 20½ R229 T S 7 6 Install top wall rail, WR296 flush with top of post using 2-3 lags on each side. NOTE: Rail should extend 20½ from post on each side. Place bottom wall rail, R229 on floor and install into left post using 2-3 lags. Make sure the slide opening is on the right. Install tent support TS76 to the center of WR296 and to the side of R229. Using 2-3 lags on top and bottom. Make sure you level your tent support x before installing lags. Layout 3 - WB532 wall boards on the inside of clubhouse against rails just installed. 3½ 3½ Measure 3½ in from TS76 tent support and install your first wall board With 1½ screws. Now measure 3½ in from P96 post and install second wall board with 1½ screws. Now install your last wall board in center of the two wall boards with 1½ screws. NOTE: 3½ Openings off post and tent support are important to be correct for this is the location of monkey bars to be install later.

Dream FULL WALL installation Step #7 Solid Wall 20½ WR296 20½ WR255 Install top wall rail, WR296 flush with top of post using 2-3 lags on each side. Place bottom wall rail, WR255 on floor and install to both posts using 2-3 lags on each side. NOTE: Rail should extend 20½ from posts on T S 7 6 Install tent support, TS76 to the center of WR296 and to the center of WR255. Using 2-3 lags top and bottom. Make sure you level your tent support x before installing lags. Layout 6 - WB532 wall boards on the inside of clubhouse against rails just installed. Measure 3½ in from TS76 tent support on each side and install your first two wall boards With 1½ screws. Now measure 3½ in from each P96 post and install third and fourth wall boards with 1½ screws. Now install your last two wall boards in center of the other two wall boards.

Dream ACTIVITY WALL #1 installation Step #8 Activity Wall #1 R255 W B5 3 6 G H2 3 6 Place rail R255 from inside clubhouse flush with top of post and install with 2-3 lags on each side. Place wall board Wb536 from outside of clubhouse 3½ in from post and flush with bottom of floor and rail just installed (as shown in photo). Install with 2-1½ screws on top and bottom. Place wall board, GH236 from outside of clubhouse 1½ in from wall board, WB536 and flush with bottom of floor and rail just installed (as shown in photo). Install with 2-2 lags on top and bottom. W B5 3 6 G H2 3 6 Activity Wall #1 Complete! Now time to assemble and install your Rock Wall! Place second wall board Wb536 from outside of clubhouse 3½ in from post and flush with bottom of floor and rail just installed (as shown in photo). Install with 2-1½ screws on top and Place wall board, GH236 from outside of clubhouse 1½ in from wall board, WB536 and flush with bottom of floor and rail just installed (as shown in photo). Install with 2-2 lags on top and bottom.

Dream ROCK WALL assembly Step #9 R W J 2 7 0 Counter sink holes face each other R WJ 2 7 0 Layout 2 - RWJ270 Rock Wall joists (as shown in the photo). NOTE: Counter sink holes face each other. Start decking your rock wall using FB568. Start right above the counter sink holes on the RWJ270 Rock Wall joist (as shown in photo). Using 2-2 screws on each side. Continue decking your rock wall using FB568 until it is completed (as shown in photo). Install using 2 screws. The RWJ270 will extend past decking. Place 12 rock hand holds in desired location on decking of rock wall. After you have located your desired positions. Mark with a pencil where to drill holes. After you have marked desire location remove rocks and drill holes using a 3/8 drill bit. After you have drilled out all the holes you can start rock installation. Place a set of T-nuts into the back of rock wall. Now place rock on decking and insert washer than lock washer and than bolt in place. Tighten using a ½ socket. Continue until all eight rock hand holds are completed.

Dream ROCK WALL installation Step #10 70 Place rock wall into back opening. Hold top of rock wall flush with top of floor (as shown in photo). From under the clubhouse fasten rock wall to post using 1-3 lag on each side (as shown in photo). Rock wall complete!

Ladder Side WALL Installation Step #12 Ladder side Wall R255 R229 Place wall board, R255 from inside clubhouse flush with top of post and fasten with 2-3 lags on each side. Place ½ wall rail R229 flush with edge of post and fasten with 2-3 lags. Place clubhouse center rail SP36 flush with top of rail and fasten with 2-3 lags. Fasten clubhouse center rail SP36 flush with 2-3 lags from under deck. W B 5 3 2 Place wall board Wb532 from outside of clubhouse 3½ in from post and flush with bottom of floor and rail just installed (as shown in photo). Install with 2-1½ screws on top and bottom.

Dream LADDER Assembly Step #13 L S 6 7 Counter sink holes face each other L S 6 7 Layout 2 - LS67 ladder rails and 6 - Ladder rungs NOTE: Counter sink holes face each other. Counter sink holes face each other 61 50 39 28 17 6 Measure from the top which is the counter sink holes side. Using the measurements above (as shown in the photo). 6 Screw the ladder rungs into ladder using 1½ Screws. (as shown in the photo). Measurements are to center of rungs. Continue until all 6 rungs are screwed in. Notice all holes are facing UP. Jb58 3½ 3½ Ladder is now complete! Install JB58 Jacobs Ladder Bottom rail to the ladder. Make sure to leave 3½ overhang on the right side of ladder and flush with the bottom. Using holes provided install 2-5 lags on each side. Dream LADDER Installation Step #1 Slide Wall Opening Place ladder into front opening. Hold top of ladder flush with top of floor (as shown in photo). Jacobs Ladder Bottom rail should stick out towards the slide wall opening. NOTE: Holes for Jacob s Ladder face Using 2-5 Lag bolts. Bolt the ladder into Post using holes provides (As shown in picture).

JACOB S LADDER TOP RAIL Step #15 Mount JT8 Jacobs Ladder top rail onto clubhouse using 2-5 lags on each side. The JT8 gets mounted under the wall top rails (as shown in photo). Through holes should be facing the ground and run parallel with the bottom rail mounted on the ladder. Jacobs ladder rope to be installed on the next page. Tent Top Rail Mount first TR26 tent rail across the wall top rails. Above the rock wall. Install with 1-3 lag on each side (as shown in photo). Mount second TR26 tent rail across the wall top rails. Above the ladder. Install with 1-3 lag on each side (as shown in photo). Mount Ts26 Tent Support on top of TS76 install with 1-3 lag on each side (as shown in photo). NOTE: If installing Wood Roof ADD ON Skip Step#17 and go to Wood Roof ADD ON manual. 22

Dream TENT TOP Step #17 Drape tent top over TS26 tent support than over and under TR26 tent rail. Install with - 2 screws in holes provided on tent top (as shown in photo). Do the same thing to the other side of tent top screw into TR26 tent rail using - 2 screws (as shown in photo). Dream JACOB S LADDER Step #18 Layout 6 - JD226 Jacob Ladder Rungs and 3 - ropes (16 sections) (as shown in photo). Thread rope through Jacobs Ladder top rail JT8 and knot on the top (as shown in photo). Thread 3 ropes through first JD226 Jacobs Ladder rung and tie a knot approximately 12 down from top rail (as shown in photo). Continue installing other 5 JD226 Jacob Ladder Rungs using the same process all the way down the ropes (as shown in photo). Place ropes through JB58 Jacobs Ladder Bottom Rail pull tight and tie knots (as shown in photo). Cut off any excess rope.

Dream SWING BEAM Assembly Step #19 Layout CB611 Swing Beam on the ground. Place swing hangers on beam using hardware provided. Holes are pre-drilled for placement. 12 @ 3/8 Hex Bolt (6½ ) 2 @ 3/8 Washer 12 @ 3/8 Nut 6 @ Swing Hangers

Dream SWING BEAM Installation Step #20 Layout 2 - SS11 Side Supports legs and the Angled Side Support Brace. Slide each SS11 Side Support leg into the Angled Side Support Brace. Installing with - 3 Lag bolts on each side (front and back) Slide Swing Beam into the Angled Side Support Brace. Installing with 3-3 Lag bolts on each side. NOTE: Make sure swing hangers are facing down. 7/8 Counter Sink Holes on Swing beam into tent support T S 7 6 Swing Beam Place swing beam on solid wall top rail WR296 of clubhouse (as shown in photo). Level swing beam as needed by digging in the side support legs. Install swing beam into TS76 tent top support of clubhouse (as shown in photo). Countersink two holes into end of beam using a 7/8 spade bit. Install 2-5 Lag bolts, through beam into TS76. 7/8 Counter Sink Holes on Swing beam into tent support Doing the same process but from other side countersink two holes in TS76 and bolt through TS76 into swing beam using 2-5 Lag bolts. SS11 Two metal stakes are provided for added stability. After swing beam is installed insert stakes into the ground flush with support legs. Leave 6 exposed and bolt to support using 3 lag bolts.

Dream SLIDE Installation Step #21 Install SB220 slide block under floor where slide opening is using 2 screws (as shown in photo). Position slide in slide wall opening Make pilot holes in the slide with 1/ drill bit and install using 2 Screws and cup washer (as shown in photo).

Dream Accessory Installation Step #22 Mount Captain Wheel on TS76 tent support (solid wall side) (as shown in photo). Use the hardware provided for. Mount Binoculars on ½ wall next to slide opening (as shown in photo). Use the hardware provided for. Install grab handles as needed above rock wall and ladder.or Measure up from floor decking approximately 6 make a mark. This is where the bottom hole of the grab handle will be. Congratulations you are Finished.
