Suggested Donation of First Grade Supplies Each child needs his or her own two strap backpack that is large enough to hold a folder. Please, NO wheels and no messenger/sling-style bags. Backpacks with wheels are a tripping hazard, and messenger bags do not stay on the backs of chairs, also causing a tripping hazard. With budget cuts, we really need parents to help with basic supplies. These items will be collected and shared with all students in the class. We go through these supplies quickly, and need to replenish them often. Please do not put names on supplies. 2 Boxes of 24 Crayola Crayons (not RoseArt). 3-4 Glue sticks, Scotch or Elmers works best. 4-5 Dry erase markers, low odor Expo Brand. (avoid red if possible) 1 1-inch binders. 2-4 Kleenex tissues, boxes, not in individual packets. 1 Roll of Paper Towels (Brawny, Kirkland, etc.) Copier Paper 1 or more reams 1 set of headphones for computer (in ziplock baggie w/child s name). Please avoid ear buds since they are too problematic for first graders.
