Expertise at a glance Solan Seabed Storage Tank (United Kingdom) Client Premier Oil Services Involved in project concept development, through to front end engineering design (FEED) and then detailed design work in 2012-2013. Work was completed for client Premier Oil in 2014, after more than five years. Description The Solan subsea oil storage tank sits in around 135m of water and can store 300,000 barrels of oil equivalent; it is 25m high, has a foot print of 45m x 45m and is constructed from 10,000 tonnes of steel. Gulfstar One Spar (Gulf of Mexico) Prelude FLNG (Australia) Client Williams Description Part of the Tubular Bells development in the Gulf of Mexico, our Houston team delivered the hull and mooring engineering for the Gulfstar One spar, as well as fabrication and installation engineering support. The hull was built in one piece, strakes included, in a graving dock, completely in the US, which has never been done before for a Spar. The unit has the capacity to hold almost 10,000 barrels of dead oil, and has 20 stainless steel tanks for storing flow assurance chemicals and the associated transfer systems. The Gulfstar floating production system (FPS) is owned by Williams, and operated by Hess. Client Shell Services We have provided safety assessments and risk management services and are helping to develop integrity management models for future inspection and maintenance at Prelude s offshore location. Description Prelude is the largest floating LNG project in the world. ADMA OPCO (Arabian Gulf, UAE) Paired-Column Semisubmersible (Global) Client Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) Description We are supporting ADMA-OPCO s expansion program for its offshore production facilities by assisting the safe life extension of existing critical infrastructure. We have been involved in the quantitative structural assessment of 31 well head towers (WHTs) in the Umm Shaif Field, offshore from Abu Dhabi. Atkins undertook structural assessment of the WHTs to establish a robust integrity management system for the company s fleet of offshore structures, building SACS models to enable detailed analysis. We also undertook advanced structural analysis of barge-type structures, which form the central platforms of ADMA OPCO s offshore processing facilities. Description Thoroughly engineered, model tested and approved in principle by DNV, the PC Semi offers enhanced safety and durability, simplified quayside installation, and superior metocean responses in harsh deepwater environments. The PC Semi also has lower CAPEX and OPEX compared to a conventional semisubmersible. Completions & Commissioning Services (Australia) Client Shell QCLNG Description We provided commissioning, start-up and preservation services for upstream facilities associated with the Curtis LNG project, delivered to 1200 well sites, 19 field compression stations, four central gas processing plants, water processing facilities and 540 km of pipeline to the LNG plant. 3
End-to-end project services Operational Integrity Services (United Kingdom) Client Repsol Sinopec Resources UK Description Framework provision of core team delivering operational asset integrity management for 11 fixed and floating assets in the UKCS North Sea covering structures, pressure systems, corrosion management and pipelines. Mad Dog Phase 2 Safety Studies (Gulf of Mexico) Client Wood Group / BP) Description Scope included technical safety studies, including: QRA, FHA, ventilation, gas dispersion, and blast analysis, fire and smoke dispersion analysis, DOA, MEERA, ESSA, ship and helicopter collision analysis, safety critical rooms habitability assessment, turbine exhaust dispersion analysis, diesel generator exhaust dispersion analysis, flare flameout dispersion analysis. Hebron (Canada) Client ExxonMobil Services Scope included onshore commissioning, hook-up, offshore commissioning/start-up support and five years maintenance contract that includes ad-hoc scope and brownfield modifications. Immersive Technology for Asset Management (Global) Client Multiple Description We deploy immersive technology, such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) to enhance our engineering, asset management and operations by providing spatial context and understanding to data and assets. Benefits include: increased efficiency and reduce cost across the lifecycle of a facility, identify clashes during modifications, minimize the impact of construction or modification, more effective training and planning of activities, simulate dismantling and demolition, and no special software requirements. Offshore substation portfolio (United Kingdom) Client Ørsted Description We completed the conceptual and detailed design of eight offshore substation platforms. By delivering a standardized design that will enable a production line approach to fabrication, we are helping Ørsted to reduce the costs of offshore wind without compromising safety and reliability. Windfloat (Portugal) Client PPI Services We completed the pre-feed, FEED and detailed design of the hull and mooring system for the floating 2MW demonstrator. 4
