2 LAUNCHING REVOSOFT: Find the Revosoft icon on your desktop (it should be on the start panel on the bottom of the home screen of the computer) Single-click the icon, the program will begin and this screen will appear. Entering a New Patient: Since DICOM images store all needed information in the header of the image you cannot directly enter a patient from the screen shown above; to enter a new patient you have to click the camera icon on the bottom of the screen and enter the patient s information. Which will take you to the following screen:
3 The only required fields are owners first and last name, patients name and ID. The DOB and sex are preferred too. When finished, click okay. Capturing images: If the camera light is green, the detector is ready to take the picture. Before you take your picture, you need to select your filters. You also need to make sure you fill in the boxes for the technologist, Kvp and mas. Editing Images: Any editing that you may want done to the picture such as rotating, cropping, deleting, adding R/L markers and window leveling can be done from the capture screen.
4 The four small grey buttons shown above are used for flipping and rotating images. Directly below the four small grey buttons, are the buttons for cropping images. To begin crop mode select the ROI (region of interest) button. Then place the mouse over the image and click the left mouse button to draw a box around the image. If you are happy with the region of interest you selected (which is anything inside the yellow box) you can select the crop button. To go back to the original image select revert and to exit crop mode select clear. Any rotating/flipping and cropping should be done to the image before placing the R/L markers. To delete images select the Reject/Accept button that is across the top of the capture screen. If you reject the image, a red mark will appear over the image which indicates that once the case is completed the image will be deleted.
5 After you have rotated/cropped, you can click the R L button to add the appropriate markers on the image. After the marker appears on the image, select the marker and drag it to the corner of the picture. When you are finished taking all your images, save them by clicking the Complete Case button. After selecting the complete case button, the images can no longer be altered nor can anything that was deleted or cropped be retrieved. The load incomplete case button is useful during times when you have taken pictures and lost power to the computer. After restarting the computer and reopening Revosoft select the load incomplete case button. The only pictures that will be loaded are the images taken before power was lost.

Send Images to a DICOM Server: To send a study/series to a DICOM server, Right click on the series you want>store>select dicom server you wish to use.
15 Trouble Shooting: When attempting to shoot a new image, if you get the appearance of the screen below, it means the computer is either not connected to the detector or the detector is not getting power. Look under the table top at the end of the detector nearest the foot end of the table. On the rear of the detector nearest the tube tower you should see two green lights. The upper green light indicates the presence of 5 volts and the lower one indicates the presence of 12 volts. If one is lighted and the other is not please call tech support. If both lights are dark follow the wires to a power block which is under the table in most installation, this block is about 2.5 by 6 and about 1.5 thick. It is black and there is a cord emitting from both ends.
Due to system motion or animal actions the cord that goes to the wall may become unplugged from this block. Simply press it back into place to firmly reseat this plug. It will take about 3 to 5 seconds for the lights on the side of the detector to illuminate. If that plug is secure, or upon reseating the plug the lights do not illuminate, follow the cord for that plug back to the wall socket or power strip it is plugged into. If it is securely plugged in make sure that normal household current is available to the power strip or wall socket. If current is available the power block itself may be dead usually from a power surge or lightning strike. 16
