I didn't expect to love this series as much as I did, but the latest book delivers on the promise of the ones before. I originally picked up the first book for my son to try at the library, and all the kids got hooked. We've listened to it on audiobook and enjoyed it so much we all needed to reread the entire series. Can't wait for the next installment! This book was amazing. One of the best in the series. It's full of details, suspense, and it makes you want to read even more. These characters are very imaginative and created to be loved and sometimes hated. One of the best books I've ever read. Land of stories is my daughter's favorite book series. She is done reading 3 books and now is reading #4. Santa just got her this one - #5 :)Biggest advantage on these books being so thick - she can just take one book on longer vacations and always have what to read! My 10 year old granddaughter has been reading this series like wildfire. She can't put them down. I lucked out with a great salesperson at Barnes and Noble and bought the first one. Then all the others from. My granddaughter is SO SAD that this is the last one. My 11-year-old daughter loves this series so much that she's been buying the books with her OWN money. Delivered just as the other land of story books in the series. Just as exciting and couldn't put it down.
